Model Reviewed: Benross VX 2012 irons

These are nicely weighted and balanced clubs with fairly traditional lofts so, comparing similarly numbered clubs with most modern undercut cavity sets, they are not particularly long and are not as forgiving as some. However the feel of the forged club cannot be matched by cast clubs and this helps to encourage more accurate striking. The clubs produce consistent length shots with quite a high trajectory for shots sweetly struck. The shorter irons are much more versatile than their undercut thick-soled competition. Definitely worth a look for the mid-handicap player who appreciated feel over raw power.
