I got these clubs brand new on ebay about a year ago. Easily cut 10 strokes off my game. No significant distance loss on mis-hits really helps.

These irons are great. They're easy to handle and are super light. I recommend these to beginners willing to spend some money. What a great club. These irons have really lowered my score!

OUTSTANDING! When I demo'd these clubs a playing partner of mine just happened to be in the golf shop at the same time (a weird coincidence since the shop we were at is 30 minutes from my house and an hour and a half from his) I hit the 8 iron and within 5 swings knew I had to have them. I told my buddy John, who at the time loved the set of irons he was playing, he should try the 8 iron I just fell in love with. Well he hit it about 6 or 7 times and commented how nice it felt. We both left the golf shop with a new set of the Bertha Tung-Ti's. We both swear by em too. These clubs have greatly boosted my confidance and my game has improved as well. My playing partners used to give me 1 or 2 strokes a side when playing skins, now I don't get any. The price has come down a bunch, so if you can, pick a set up, you won't be disappointed. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE IRONS.

Customer Service

I wanted to get a matching sand wedge, Contacted Callaway via E-mail, got a quick response. This is a discontinued
item, but they did provide a very large list of vendors that might still have some. I found my wedge through the contacts Callaway provided

I would have to say that these irons are very forgiving and are very easy to hit. I would recommend them for bigenners who are ready to spend about$1100 to $1500 on golf clubs. They have helped my score but I can't just say buy them it will lower your handicap. But they do have a very large sweet spot and if you hit eaven close to it you will be able to hit a very decent shot. These are the most comfertable and soft irons i have ever had or playd with. But that depends if you like irons that will give you the soft feel and distance. I have playd for two years and at par 71 coarses with just using these irons I could make 83 I do not know if that is gould score but for some of the numbers I have picked up in the past that is pretty good for me. I would say that if you hit a dead center shot with a five iron most golfers would be able to hit around 170 to 180 but my record with a five iron is about 210 but thats by smashing the ball at certain limit of power that I could do about 10 out of 30 tomes. I can hit the long irons very fare but when I start going up the scale they seem a lot softer but I found that if I hit right on the sweet spot you hit the same distance or just a little farther than the average set of clubs. I would have to say the clubs have helped me to lower my score. But if you hardly ever play golf and you buy these clubs you won't start shooting par at any golf coarse. If you do have the money to spend on these clubs I would recomend them. Because they do give extra distance. But they are expensive I bought my set for about $1100 and I am telling you these clubs are worth the price.

I never expected to pay $2000 for a set of irons. I went into the store expecting to buy a new set of X-12s, but after testing the Titanium irons could not resist the superior feel. I have never regretted the purchase, they are the most forgiving irons I have ever played.

I was looking at the new X-14 and Supersteel irons when I noticed this used set in the corner. It was just traded in. The heads and shaft were in great condition; the grips were slightly worn. I bought the GBB Tung-Ti's over the "new" sets after a trial session at a nearby range. They are great at getting the ball in flight and EXTREMELY forgiving. I'm still trying to get used to them on the course but they have greatly improved my confidence (knowing that even the mis-hits will fare relatively well). The sandwedge takes some getting used to with its thick topline. They are expensive, but they are well made and are proven performers.

I'm into my third year with these clubs, and feel like they are a terrific club for a higher handicapper. The forgiveness of the club is fantastic, but the large head is not appealing to me, and I find it difficult to work the ball consistently. I get more distance out of these than any other club I've tried, but the variability of the club (with stiff graphite shafts) is just too much. Don't bother with these if you are under a 12 handicap. They are also among the highest priced clubs on the market.

Model Reviewed: Tungsten-Titanium w/ Memphis 10 shaft

These clubs are simply too big. They don't allow you to work the ball at all, and there is no feel. The feel could probably be helped a lot if Callaway would begin using steel shafts with different flexes instead of the Memphis 10 uniflex. With the club at address, I had no confidence whatsoever in the thick-topline; these clubs seem to prove that bigger is not always better. They are longer than many irons, but not enough to justify the ugly appearance and matching ugly trajectory. A much better game improvement iron is the PING ISI-S. The Callaways are insanely expensive and you can probably find better steel irons for half the price.

These clubs are very forgiving. The balls fly long and straight. Noticed that the feel was less than the 855's, but the distance and direction remained consistent even when you don't hit the sweetspot. Got them as a gift so I can't complain about the hefty price. they also don't make them anymore.

The Tungsten-Titanium irons are very expensive but, gave me the confidence to play better. My ability to hit the ball straight no matter what the lie increased to near perfect. Only problem was that I was hitting the ball too far. What was normally a 7-iron shot became a nine iron shot. etc. My score dropped from the upper nineties to the eighties and began to enjoy every swing. I highly suggest purchasing the Callaway drivers and irons. My score dropped and I began to enjoy golf more. (I even bought one of the expensive tour bags). Now when I walk up to the tee all the old golfers look at me and think "" Young punk, he will screw up,"" I simply pull back and hear the familiar ""CLINK"" noise of my driver and look back and smile. Then when I walk up to the 150 yd. par 3 and use a 9- iron it feels good to nail it in front of strangers.
