I wanted to upgrade from my X12's and took a chance on the new technology of the Fusions. What a excellant choice, these clubs allow me to move the ball, hit it long and high. my 7 iron went from 150-155 to 165. I love the feel of these irons. I have the graphite shafts and would not trade these irons for anything else. anyone looking for a set of irons that give you the feel when you hit that great shot, these are the irons.

i have to say i doubted the fusion irons - could they be worth the cash? Much better than the x series irons? I play of 11 and if you are looking for a great set of irons that play like blades but with the forgiveness of cavities this is the set. They are awesome!!!! Have played X12 pro series, X14 and X18 pro series but nothing can compare to these - go and buy and enjoy!

I tried several iron sets before settling on the Fusions. I'm very pleased with the performance of these irons - they are forgiving, long, and high. I would highly recommend them to anyone with a good game, but not yet good enough for blades.

I recently purchased the fussion irons with Dg light shafts. After years of playing with X14pros I was amazed how good these clubs are. They are long and forgiving yet very playable with decent feedback. I would recomend them to anyone who likes playing Callaway irons.

Customer Service

Excellent-sent the 2 iron back after I broke a shaft and it was repaired for free.

After playing with BB x12's since they came out in the 90's I've tried all the other BB "x" versions when they were introduced. I never found one that was an improvement over what I had. Having just turned 65 this year I decided I needed a graphite shaft because I had lost feel with the uniflex steel shaft. I tried Taylormade, Nike, G5s and the BB x18 with both graphite and steel. None of them impressed me. I had dismissed the Fusion because of the price but demo'd a 6 iron with the Nisson NP90 unflex steel shaft instead of the Callaway Uniflex shaft. It was great! I had been unhappy with the bore thru shaft because the lie angle can't be changed without sending them back to the factory. I always felt that my old clubs were too flat based on my ball flight. I ordered these 1 degree upright with an extra wrap on the grips and have had them about 3 weeks. From the first shot they have been great. The best irons I have ever hit, much less owned. They go straight and are about a club longer than my old clubs. I still have to fight my tendency to aim a little left because of so many years of playing my fade. I now aim at the pin. The long irons are so easy to hit I gave my old 5 wood away. Yesterday I played a different course since my regular course was closed. I hit the pin twice on my second shot on par 4s and hit it close for a gimme birdie on a par 3. If you can stand the price they are well worth it!

Customer Service

Deivery was a problem but my pro called them several times and it took an extra 10 days from when they were supposed to arrive. They blamed it on the shaft supplier but who knows. Anyway it was worth the wait.

Upon returning to the game last year, I decided to start the year with new equipment. I had been playing with T.A.845's for about 15 years and figured this would be a good time to enhance my game with the new technology. Well, after spending 6-8 weeks each, with several different sets, my almost 10 month quest ended with the fusions. Being one that tended to shy away from a club such as these because of the quirkiness of the touted science. Well, I wish that I had found them sooner. I would have had more fun playing the last 10 months and saved alot of money. These clubs have a great feel to them and produce shot after shot. I do find the titanium face to be hot and the clubs themselves tend to quiet a draw/fade, which works for me as i tend to get in trouble from time to time with a draw that dosen't stop til' it hits something. Some of the reviewers state that the shot pattern is high and the shafts tend to add to the trajectory. Well as with all new golf equipment, that tends to be the manufacters objective, however these hit lower than the Ping G2's and Callaway's x-tour with s300 shafts for me. I hope to regain my 5 handicap for 06' and maybe do a little better. I now know that I have the equipment that can perform, any problems are all me. These irons I would recommend to anyone out there with a repeatable swing and looking to have the option to work the ball, I'd say from scratch to a 20. Anything higher in handicap and I'd look at super game improvement clubs. There worth their retail price and then some.

These irons are nice but seem to be geared towards players who need help getting the ball in the air. I'm a 12 handicap with distance being my strength and accuracy needing much improvement. I choses these irons because they insist that I use the correct club for each shot. Example: At 150 yards out, I grab a Nike or Cobra 9 iron and muscle the shot. If I try that with the Fusion irons the shot will ballon and fall short. Fusion shots seem to be a lot straighter and more forgiving. If you need help with distance choose another model, but if you want to improve your accuracy these are nice. I have not tried to work the ball with them but for me they seem to be very easy to hit high fades. My mis-hits are a lot straighter. Now to work on the short game for next season. The high trajectory lands the ball nice and soft onto the green with little roll.I think these clubs are going to win me a lot of SKINS!

Had to do an update as the results since my first 3 rounds, and review, have been spectacular. During the Callaway fitting the pro at their headquarters gave me an impromptu grip/swing lesson as well. I admit that this has played a big part in my improvement. However...I also have gained so much confidence in this fusion set that I am slowly coming to realize..shoot at the pin. I still hold high handicap fears to aim for the fat part of the green but noticed recently that my distances and shot pattern have greatly improved, therefore I need to have confidence to aim closer to the pin. Results: I have never broken 80 on a full length full par course (did on executive) and have done so 3 times in the past 6 weeks! A pair of 79's, then went blind to a course never played before, shot 82 from the blue tips! My mother used to play (physically challenged now due to former broken neck) heard about my excited newfound confidence. She asked to rent a power cart and keep me company, watch my round. Didn't know result, she wouldn't let me see the card on back as I have a tendency to fold when I shoot a low score, all I knew is that it was good. With a par at last I turned to see her grin and announce I shot a 78! Much more conventional look at address, crisp accurate feel, short irons are darts, despite some not favourable reviews, I will have these in my bag for a long long time. p.s. I have upgraded my value rating to 5 as long as you don't pay full pop.

As mentioned in first review, had some original issues, they took care of me above and beyond what they should have done. Legendary reputation is well earned.

I recently returned some x18's to get these. You can read my review on x18 but in short, forgiving/heavy feeling/distance challenged. The fitting was done by callaway for the fusions. I needed 1/2" longer and 2 deg upright. I thought it was my 6'1" height but fitter said everyone had different posture& arm length, this was mine. I have found these irons after 3 rounds to be very very good. The looks are so traditional at address with little offset, which I do not need. I demo'd the bertha irons once, they were the most forgiving irons every invented. I had to try and make a bad swing. Seriously. However they were so head heavy/clunky looking/too much offset, that I just couldn't get comfortable. I bought irons once on reputation and never got comfortable lining them up. Salesman later told me, never every buy on reputation, looks come 1st, then rep. If you don't feel good standing over the ball you will never adjust. These line up good, look a little futuristic from side, but normal at address. They give good feedback. Most Callaways are muted so you can't tell a good shot. My fusions are almost similar to my old mizuno mx20's in that miss-hits are a little crisp feeling but not harsh. Flush hits are still crisp but substantial feeling. They are also about 10 yards longer than my old zuno's. I find shot correction will not cover a really bad swing, but if you are just off they almost seem to say "hey here is where you meant to go" and correct back. I have hit shots that went slightly left of my intention, then suddenly in mid flight they shift a little right, then straighten, then land , next to flag. This has happened a few times, it is almost like someone is radio controlling the flight, hey lets correct this just a bit, then straighten out again. Very cool feeling. I normally struggle with long irons, but now have a dilemma. I bought hogan cft hybrids to replace 3&4 iron in old set, but can hit the fusions very similar. May have to sell 1 or both of these great hybrids. The shorter irons are like darts. The pw especially. Recently got my 2nd ever eagle in my golfing life. No I didn't hit a par 5 in two. I stood 105 yars from par 4, lined up pw and watched it land softly near flag, roll 3 feet and in. I have come very close since with pw-8 iron on several others. My only complaint is the crispness of irons leads to hot pitches. Current attempts with pw-8 iron to chip/pitch shows a hot face, and occasionally I try to pitch 40 yards only to watch it bounce over green. But hey I am sure with more practice I can improve that. In summary, yes I know they are pricey (that's why I value at 4), but if you get a good deal (no I don't feel $1000 plus is worth it, but if you get a good sale or ebay deal) you will likely find yourself like me, thinking this may be your last set for a very long time. (ok long time in my golfing life is likely 5 years, but I normally change every other, but in this case can easily see me playing these a very long time).

Customer Service

Took so good care of me recently with some issues that I can't applaud them enough. All the good things you hear about them are true. I understand if you are not partial to Callaway, their clubs are unconvential looking and even to me a little odd (i.e. clunky on some models, unusual hosel on irons/drivers) but these are traditional looking fusions and the service to back them up has nothing to do with visual preferences. Their svc is the best out there.

Wow, this irons seem to play on their own. It's easy to bring the ball on a high trajectory and the forgiveness is... well... it's nearly impossible to have a miss-hit. For players who score in the 100s, this clubs are perfect, but if you want to shape, you need some solid blades. I played these irons with steelshafts and for me they are too comfortable. There is also a bad thing in this set of irons: the Sandwedge. Because of the wide sole it is not that easy to make a flopshot or to controll the ball of the bunker.
