What a club! This is it!! All the clubs are forgiving, and give knife cut accuracy. Ball is high, straight, and long. I don't know much about 'offset' but it works for me. Easy to hit on the sweetspot. What can I say?

I played a great deal of golf in college and recently picked up the game again. I was using an old set of taylor mades and decided I needed some of that new technology I was hearing so much about. I went to the golf store and hit a pings, taylor mades, and cobras. I have never hit a club that felt so sweet to hit. Balls are longer, clubs are very forgiving, and the joy of golf has returned. These clubs are great for anyone that just wants to hit the ball high, straight, and just have fun out on the course. Get a set of these and you will smile at all 18 holes.

The Golf Mart was a great place to buy these clubs. The people there were very friendly and even gave me a package of balls and driver cover at no charge. Part of buying clubs is feeling comfortable with your purchase and the people at The Golf Mart made sure I was comfortable before I walked out of the store. Thanks.

I've been playing for over 10 years with clubs which have never really taken advantage of the latest technology. I demo'd a set of X14's and immediately I knew what the fuss was all about.....they're awesome. The first thing I noticed was the distance they so easily achieved, I was also impressed with accuracy and trajectory of the ball flight. Needless to say I went into the shop which borrowed me the clubs and got a set fitted with a 2* up lie adjustment and thicker grips. I get them next week and I can't wait !

I found these clubs somewhat thick and "clunky" looking. No pretence of being a blade or even remotely blade-like, these clubs have game improvement written all over them IMHO. These clubs also have a LOT of offset.

Shots are really easy to get up and straight. Personally I found the tradjectory with these clubs too high and I lost a little distance (say 1 club).

Feedback was a little dull, more like a "thud". Good hits and mis-hits were a little hard to differentiate. You're not really penalised on mis-hits, but definitely not rewarded on good shots.

Bought these right before I went on an anuual golf trip to Myrtle Beach. They went straight from the box to my bag to my travel case (I wanted to make sure they were nice and shiny when I arrived!). I generally shoot in the mid-high 90s on more less challenging courses, and hadn't played since last summer. On the first hole (after smashing my drive with my new Hawk Eye driver), I pulled out my 5 iron and launched one straight at the pin. Believe the hype! Iverson may be the Answer in hoops, but Calloways are the Answer on the links! These clubs are forgiving, long, and straight! We played a total of 7 rounds in 4 days, and my X-14 remained true. There's nothing like standing over the ball only having to worry about where on the green you want to put it. Since I see no reason to get rid of these anytime soon (unless of course to one day get the Hawk Eyes), I figure the price you pay for them, amortized over 3-4 years, is a pretty good deal.

Never in doubt when I have these irons in my hands. They will make you take easy swing and make you look good even with off centre hit.
Excellent. No other word for it.

The X-14's made golf very boring for me. I used to be able to go in the woods looking for my ball or get to go walk in the rough and water and find other balls but now I just walk in fairways and on the greens. These irons are amazing but very boring. Nothing but great shots.

Best clubs I've ever played and I'm 54 yrs old and have owned a bunch. If these clubs don't drop your handicap, you need to find another game. Last set were Ping ISI stiff steel shafts which I liked a lot but a friend had a set of X-12's and so I got to hit those occasionally. I was more consistant and better distance (so could hit more loft) with the X-12's. I decided on the 14's in lieu of the 12's because I'd heard they withstand weathering better. Also I hit them better on the range. I've had them about 6 months now and though I loved them from the first day, I just continue to play better and better with them. They are very forgiving, have excellent feel, and despite what I've heard others say, I think it is easy to work the ball with them. This is the first set I've ever owned that I've acually looked forward to hitting the long irons. With every other set (including the Pings) I've just replaced the 3 iron with a 7-wood. I now have the 7-wood in the attic and am considering getting a 2 iron. I have a legitimate 8 handicap which is down 2 from when I had the Pings. Don't get me wrong, the Pings are great but the X-14's are beyond great.

I rented these clubs a few months ago while on vacation and knew right there and then I had to have them. Three months later a new set was delivered to me and I love them.

$900 is quite steep and I don't know if I would have paid that. However if you're looking to splurge, get these clubs.

Model Reviewed: callaway X-14 w/Graphite shaft

My first experience with Callaway was with their X-12 7 iron w/ graphite shaft. I borrowed it from a partner on a par 3 over a water hazzard. One stroke. It felt like no other club that I have ever hit. It was wonderful. I was sold.

I purchased the X-14's w/ graphite shafts. Believe me, this is the thing for you to do. Don't think about the money, you can spend a lot more for a set of irons, just do it.

I'm no expert, but my theory about golf clubs is this. Hit as many quality brand clubs you can get your hands on, and go with what FEELS the best to you. If you do this, chances are you'll be playing Callaway too.

You can spend more money and get the latest wiz bang titanium faced irons or forged blade irons with a cool special colored finish on them. But for the majority of golfers across the world, the X-14's are better than you can play them.
