Callaway X-22 Irons

Callaway X-22 Irons

DESCRIPTION

The X-22 Irons don’t disappoint and are the best X Series irons Callaway Golf has ever created. By maximizing perimeter weighting, these irons boast an MOI that’s 10 percent higher than their predecessors. The ideal CG position has been preserved, generating optimal ball-flight trajectories.

The X-22s give me increased distance, 5 iron distance has consistently gained 10 yards, and excellent feel. Wish the standard grips felt better.

Had the irons shipped to a friend in Hawaii...met him at the course and unwrapped them on the first tee...was able to play two rounds with them while in Hawaii...superb clubs...easy to hit and work the ball...played X-16s for several years and there is no comparison..outstanding clubs in all respects...

I’ve had my X-22’s for almost a year now and love them. I switched from a set of Ben Hogan Apex-pro’s. They were nice, nice looking and not very consistent so I sold them and went with the Callaway. Prior, I demoed several clubs including Taylor Made, Titleist, and Cobras. To be honest, I was never a big Callaway fan; I never liked the look of the old Big Berthas and early X series irons. I did like the look and feel of the 22’s and after hitting them at a demo, I was hooked. This time, I got fitted which is something I highly recommend. For some reason people think it costs extra to be fitted. From the start, I picked up a few yards with the 22’s. I also have no problem working a fade or draw when needed. The short irons hold very well around the greens. Overall, it was a good purchase for me and I have no regrets. The new Callaway drivers come out in March 10’ so I may have to take a look.
