I have owned these clubs for over 7 years and have never thought of getting a different set. They have great feel and deadly accuracy. I have tried other irons in the past but none of them were as accurate as my 792's. The only thing that I don't like about these clubs is that I don't hit them as far as other irons I've tried in the past. This really doesn't matter to me as much as it might for a golfer with a weaker swing. I hit my drives almost 300 yards so it is not important how far I hit my irons. What is important is how accurate I am with them. So, if you are a golfer who needs a set of very accurate and forgiving irons with an almost unbeatable feel, I highly recommend these irons. If you look around online you can easily pick up a set for less than $200.

Not bragging or boasting - pretty much everyone I play golf with comments on how deadly and accurate I am using these clubs. They are old, exactly I'm not sure. I have 1 - SW plus Lob and D wedge. I bought a new set of Ping i5 - over $900. I played with them twice, sold them and went back to my old reliable 792's.

I cant say enough about these clubs. I have 1 iron thru SW, and these are the best feeling clubs on the planet. The look is different but when you feel the contact there is no comparison.

The VAS 792's are a great club to hit with. When you hit the ball on the nines, it is going exactly where you wanted it. The long irons are about 1 - 1 1/2 clubs shorter in distance vs. my Mizuno Grad Forged irons, but the accuracy is great. If you can find'em, take them for a test drive. I am thinking of blending my two sets and use the VAS 792 for my PW-6 and my Mizuno Grads 5 - 3.

Great set of clubs. I've got the stiff flex graphite shafts, which, if you swing a little on the slower side, like me, makes a lot better scenario than heavier steel shafts. They look REALLY odd, but when you pick a ball of the turf with them, it's like butter...the ball just GOES.
Sandwedge is hard to hit, so dont make it a deal-breaker if you're looking for a set on ebay.

Broke the shaft on my five iron, had a new one, for free in two weeks, installed. pretty darn good.
