Awesome irons. The non-glare finish is beautiful, you definately stand out from everyone else. The irons are very compact, thin sole, razor thin topline, and almost no offset. outstanding feel and workability. This is as good as it gets for true blades. I do not recommend for anyone that isn't a consistant ball striker. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Mizuno MP-33 |

These clubs are beautiful, although I'm not the best ball striker, I can't stand looking at those big sticks. These irons are not hard to hit at all, don't be scared to try these, you don't have to be a scratch golfer for these. These clubs are very solid and pretty forgiving for a blade. To qualify my handicap, I'm an 8 (high 70s/low 80s). I wanted to make a post before I get my new irons. I purchased these things prior to even hitting them. Why? I've had Ping Eye 2+ since I started playing golf (senior year in college) and told myself it is time to make the jump to blades. So, knowing that I wanted to hit blades, I chose these after much reasearch simply because of i) the aesthetics are awesome and ii) good reviews were abound by handicaps all over the board. So, that being said I'll repost once the clubs come in and I've had a week to get used to them. Customer Service No interaction as of yet. Similar Products Used: Ping Eye 2+

Great clubs, feedback is there, just like my Wilson Staff Blades, but distance is better. Very accurate. Now, fanny, just because you're scratch doesn't mean your right. They sell cavity backs because they're cheaper to make and that's what's marketed. Everyone used to play blades and the average scores have not changed in recent years with the advent of cast cavity backs. |

these are amazing irons. unlike most blades, more of the weight has been put right behind the sweetspot rather than being distributed evenly through the blade. this makes it very hard to be consistent for the average golfer who has frequent miss hits. in a previous post, "people who shoot 80's and 90's can hit these sticks", is inaccurate. if everyone who shoots those scores could play blades, they wouldnt make cavity backs. most low handicapped golfers would struggle with these, only buy these if youre a very consistent ballstriker. i hit these puppies at golfsmith for an hour. i think the salesman could not believe how the balls were rocketing off the face. compared to the hogans, which are great sticks, these seemed to have a little more effortless jump. overall, i think cleveland is ahead of the competition in their cmm design as others will most likely follow. my strength is ballstriking and these are definitely a strikers dream. I think these irons are fantastic!!!!! I was a bit scared to hit them when i first bought them as they are blades but they suit my game down to the ground!! the club heads are smaller than other blades but I think this helps me for some reason. I am amazed by how easy these are to hit from PW to 3i and they add an extra 10-15 yards to my game and i already hit the ball a long way. Now i can play a 3i off the tee of many par 4's and still find the green with less than a 7i. These blades also look very good, and round off an excellent set of clubs!! I've played Cleveland TA2 Irons for about three years now and thought that they were great irons...until now. The CG1 irons are so much better. They have a great weight to them and when they are hit solid I get better than average distance and such a pure feel. Off center shots are no differant than my TA2's...maybe better and no harsh feeling like blades of the past. I was honestly hesitant about putting blades in my bag but these irons seem very easy to hit, to include working the ball. I'm so glad that I tried these irons and I recommend them to all decent golfers. If you've been thinking about trying a blade iron but don't think that you're good enough for it give this set a try, you'll be glad that you did! Customer Service Have not had to use. I was playing the MacGregor VIP V-Foils for a bit, they were the first blades I went too. After losing yardage and accuracy i thought going back to the cavity backs would be best. However i demo'd these CG1's and i am glad i did. These clubs hit so soft, are forgiving, and added distance to my irons. I sold my hybrid 3 and 4 because i hit these Cg1 long irons better. YOu dont have to be a scratch golfer to hit these clubs. mid 80's low 90's players will have no problems with these sticks. Customer Service 3 iron head came loose and they fixed in and had it back to me in 4 days. Similar Products Used: Macgregor VIP V Foil Tourny. |
