Very easy to hit irons. Cavity back irons with little offset. The ball feels very soft when hit. These irons are very consistant club to club, both in ball flight and swing weight. No suprises. Very easy to work the ball and just as easy to hit straight shots.Cleveland has quit making these irons and you can pick up a used set on Ebay for a good price. I've played with these clubs all summer and really like them.

moved up from Armour 845's to the CG4 Tour with ActionLite Stiff shafts and WOW - The clubs swing easy- make contact super softly and even with offcenter hits the shots were still straight. I'm still really learning my swing - and figured it would take quite a bit of work to really hit these clubs but I found that's not the case. Great setup- very nice balance and super- super sweet spot.

Been playing these for several weeks and they took some getting used to. Very workable not very forgiving and the feedback is superb. Sweet spot contact is so buttery you almost can not feel contact at all. Distance is 10 yards less per club than my Titleist DCI 762's but they produce a much tighter pattern. These clubs set up well top line is larger than many better player clubs. Overall these are good irons not great.

I had previously played TA7 irons and really liked them, often wondered if the CG4 Tours really could be that much of an upgrade.

I bought a lightly used set off eBay for $259, 5-PW with TT SuperLite stiff shafts. Talk about awesome. The feel is unbelievable, sometimes I don't even know that I hit a ball, it is just smooth and pure.

The playability over the TA7 is so much better, and if you think you can't hit these because they are the Tour model, you'd be surprised by how easy they are to play.

All I can say is that I am upset for not getting these sooner. If you are not playing Cleveland you need to be - the HiBore line is unreal and their wedges - what more needs to be said ?? Cleveland rocks and the CG4 Tours are the bomb.

Their sales rep with the Tech Van was great.

im 14 and have used a rlllllllllllllllly old set of spalding for the last few years now and i have never really had a set of irons with the newer technology. finally my dad allowed me to go buy a set and i tried callaway x-14's, TM RAC OS and titelists (forget wich model the clevelands were so good). it finally got down to the clevelands and the callaways. the clevelands were just soooo smooth and miss hits were still fairly centred and with decent distance. Also, i dont think ive ever used a club that has felt softer than these irons they feel like a hot knife through butter.I got these clubs really cheap because someone bought them and used them for like halfa season then returned them cuz he didnt like'em (crazy i know), they were around 450. still havnt gotten to the course with them but hopein to soon.

These clubs are the greatest clubs i have ever used.. very forgiving, easy to shape the shot ... i have have hit the CG2's they are relatively easy to hit aswell but not as forgiving the cg4s maybe a bit chunky and be fairly offset but they look like a juniors club, but they play like the big boys... overall very good sticks easy to hit love hitting golf balls with them the great feel is outstanding

I have played this set for a while now (about 6 months), and I absolutely love them. To me, these clubs are the perfect mix of player's club, game improvement club, feel, and technology. They are incredibly versatile, and allow you to play any shot in the bag. You can go high, low, left to right, right to left, and anywhere else inbetween you may want to go. The minimal offset also allows you to use them for those little chip shots are the green without having to worry about the chunky monkey. Distance is more than adequate, and they are forgiving enough where miss-hits remain playable, and the material's softness takes a lot of the sting out of them. That being said, I don't know if I would recommend these to a higher handicap. They are not THAT forgiving, and for these player, the regular CG4 is probably a better option. And I don't say that to be mean. When I first started playing this game, I was a 37 handicap so I know what it's like to need the extra forgiveness.

My set make up is 4-PW (I carry a hybrid in lieu of the 3 iron). I had them reshafted with the Dynamic Gold S300's after a couple of months. The way my swing and game set up, higher launch heads with low profile shafts provide me with the optimum ball flight. These heads provide a high enough launch, and I found that, for my swing, the stock Actionlite Tour shafts ballon the ball a little too much. I also had the pitching wedge's loft bent open to 48*. I carry 54* and 60* wedges, and that little tweak made the spacing perfect. I make these points because I truly believe that very few people can play with something straight off the rack, and that it is imperative to have your equipment fitted for your individual swing, launch conditions, and desired ball flight. It's also important to realize that because each player's swing and launch is different, what works for one guy may not work for another. So it's equally important to do your research and demo a few different things before deciding on a purchase. There's a reason that the best players in the world spend hours in the equipment vans with their tour reps. Hope this all helps.

Great irons; they feel good, they look good, and they inspire confidence in any golfer. In my opinion, a perfect blend of players' club, game-improvement club, and technology. Any club works well when your swing is on but this one works even when you are a little off! Toe/heal strikes try hard to find the fairway- ugly swings get ugly results (that's the way it should be). Compared to other similar category irons (Callaway X-18, TaylorMade LT, Ping i5) I'll opt for the Cleveland in my bag when bragging rights and Sunday games or on the table. Try 'em, you can't go wrong with these irons. If it matters, mine are +1/4" over standard (38" 5 iron) and have Dynamic Gold x100 shafts (love that combo!).

Customer Service

Terrific- I needed them bent 1* up, just go to a dealer (any) box them up, ship, they do the work and send them back...that's it!

I am relatively new to golf and have only been playing for 5 years. The CG4 Tours replace a set of Wilson Orcas that were purchased as a beginners set.

I spent 4 weeks with a local retailer demoing game improvement clubs. We started with approximately 16 models and narrowed the field to 5 sets of irons. Ping G and I 5s, Adams A2s, Cobra S9s, Cg4s and CG4 Tours. I was looking for clubs that were a signficant improvment over me entry level Wilsons.

The final decision came down to the Ping I5s and the CG4 Tours. In the end I chose the CG4s. They provided a significant improve in distance and were consistently accurate. I have gone from carrying a six iron 160 yds, to 180 yds. In some cases on the simulator and subsequently outdoors on the range I have had 6 irons go a total of 200 yds [carry and roll].

The clubs were custom fitted from Cleveland and came 1/2" over standard length, 2 degree upright. All the clubs I short listed shared some common characteristics. They feature lighter regular flex shafts and smaller, less offset heads. The light overall weight of the clubs has contributed to more club head speed and increased distance.

I have listed myself as a player that shoots in the 90's but my scores can range from 78 one week to 98 the next.

Overall I am very please with the CG4s. The recent promotion for the HiBore Driver came about after my purchase and the driver was thrown in as an added bonus. I was fortunate to be able to pick up a 10.5 degree regular flex with the upgraded UST V2 shaft.

Customer Service

Excellent, the clubs came custom fitted at no additonal charge and the grips were fitted in store to allow for overside grips and a 1/2 wrap under the right hand.

Upgraded from a set of graphite shafted Mizuno (Zephyr) that are not even listed on Golfreview. Distance has improved GREATLY for me but sadly I dont't hit as consistently in distance nor direction. Using Intelligolf w/GPS I tracked an 8i that went 156m(170yards). I used to hit 125m on the mizunos and usually now with the CG4 140m(153y).

I just can't seem to dial these in for some reason. They either go slightly left/right but never on line. The Mizunos never had this problem.

Overall I don't know what to think of these. I've had them for over 3 months and have played more than 20 rounds with them but can never really get comfortable. Give me a shot of 145m and I can play 6i-8i.

Customer Service

I bought them off Ebay.....I read about the fakes but it was off a Gazillion feedback bigstore seller so I guess they must be real.
