What a fantastic set of irons! I started playing with Ping Eye-2 irons, but thought i should look to change them after i tried a set of Taylor Made RAC OS irons. First thing i noticed was how well balanced they felt on my back swing. The feel great, i have gained at least 20 yards on my 7 iron from my eye-2s and i couldn't be happier, it is easy to control fades and draws also. Great promo- i got a 50 degree wedge for free and paid for a 56 degree wedge with the irons. My boss plays with Titleist 762s and was shocked at how much better these irons felt.

these. irons. are. sweet.
They hit unbelievebly soft even on most off-center hits. The feeling of a dead center hit is the best of any game improving iron. They hit straight if you want and, curve when you need em to. Oh yeah and I don't know what these other guys are talkin about with the no change in distance, but i have two extra clubs on my old distance. On the monitor i hit a 5 iron 200, yeah i do feel special. This clubs are cool for another reason because no one i know has them.

I wanted to replace my old Nike blades for months. I don’t get out to the course as often as I used to and thus the blades were proving a little to unforgiving. I tried various different sets from all the major manufactures both on the range and on the course, but nothing really grabbed me until I used the CG4s. They are an attractive iron with a compact head and a top line that isn’t as chunky or thick as with some game improvement irons. They look so good at address your confident you can go right at your target. The first time I used them I was stunned at how easy they were to hit. The feeling of impact is very solid and smooth with just enough feedback through the shaft. Though I didn’t notice much of a distance gain, maybe 3-5 yards, I did notice a change in my trajectory. The CG4’s fly noticeable higher but don’t sacrifice any distance. The high trajectory makes for softer landings and greater control. Shot shaping is easy, if I need a draw or fade, no problem. Mis-hits defiantly go further and are more accurate than I could ever hope for with my Nikes. If you want a smooth feeling, accurate, forgiving iron that’s also nice to look at you have to at least try the CG4’s.

I bought the CG4's based on the reviews I read on the internet without even hitting them... First day I got them I played in my league and fired a 4 over 76. These irons are unreal. Distance control, feel, shot shaping... A total package iron. I recommend these to anyone, mostly for people hanging on to a set of knock offs thinking "these are just as good as any $1000 set"... You couldn't be more wrong. All I can say is hit these and you'll see.

See you in the short stuff...

Usually shoot mid 80's to mid 90's. These are 10+ yards longer than my Tommy Armours. That is a problem I can get used to. I am in my 40's and this is the first iron set I have owned that I can actually draw the ball. Soft feel and great on off center shots. With my last 3 sets a miss was short and right. Only one short & right shot in 5 rounds with these. My most frequent "misses" now are straight but long. A good problem. Shot 92 first time out on tough windy course I had never broken 100 on. The ball flight off these irons cut through the wind. I have not had the ballooning problem on short irons that others have reported. Found a set of demo's at greatly reduced price which helped the value rating of my set.

I played MIZUNO MP-60 for the last 6 months, it was a good solid iron. Then I bought CG 4 Plus (japan version - with gelback technology), graphite "Fujikura" shaft. I'm glad that I found this amazing iron set, the distance is awsome, 150 yards so easy to reach with 8 iron (#7 with MP-60). Last round scored 80 (HC-14). I think my game will more improve with this iron set.

Model Reviewed: CG4 Tour Irons with stiff Dynamic Gold irons. 1" over 3 deg. up

For years I played Mizuno forged blades. However, due to back issues, I cannot play nearly as often as I used to. Therefore, striking the ball consistently is a thing of the past. In looking for a new set of irons, I knew I needed to look for a more forgiving iron. However, I could not bring myself to buying a set of "Funky Ugly" offset, oversized game improvement irons. I needed a solid compromise. In the CG4 Tours, I found much more than I had hoped and expected. These irons are terrific to look at, and the feel of the ball stike is much smoother and softer than I had thought a cast iron would feel. The first two rounds out, I broke 80 (I know, everyone makes these types of comments. But in this case, it is true, much to my pleasant surprise.) I typically shoot low 80's, hangover or not. I'll take an instant 4 stroke improvement any day. There isn't any appreciable distance difference, but I am not really looking for that. What I have found is twofold: 1) My shot dispersion is appreciably narrower. 2) mis-hits that would have bled off somewhere 20-40% shorter than I hoped with my old blades are significantly closer to my intended target. I am truly enjoying playing these irons. Get yourself fitted with proper shafts, and go have some fun. The price point ain't so bad either, especially with the free gap wedge I received with the set.

I must say that this is by far the best iron set I have ever hit. I'm one of those golfers that seems to by a new club or clubs every 6-8 weeks, but these have been in my bag since they came out last summer. This has to be the most forgiving iron on the market. There are many cavity back irons to choose from, but none of them have the same feel as this club. I got fitted for an iron set last summer and I hit iron after iron...calloway, mizuno, taylor made, and the cleveland clubs. All the other clubs to not compare because they are all heavy than the CG4. Don't let all the maketing gimmicks fool you into thinking that cleveland CMM METAL is a joke. This club stays very stable on impact and is much lighter. This translates into a smoother stroke with greater clubhead speed for me. I started playing 18 months ago, and I was shooting in the upper 90's before I got this iron set. Read all the other reviews...you won't be dissapointed.

Went from Ping ISI to Macgregor M685. After about 6 rounds realized it was too big of a jump. So I traded the Macgregor's in and purchased the CG4's. What a great set of clubs. Great feel at set up and easy to hit. Catch it anywhere on the face and it goes. Also got a CG11 wedge free with the set.

I have been contemplating on buying these irons at first, but my irons have gone from super confident to scared at addressing balls. I felt that my S-yards were too light for my swing. Then just suddently decided to go for it. I would say that Cleveland is a company who benifits golfers. Super irons with so affordable price. What can I say, you have done a very good job. Good balance on the head and shaft. Feels as though gravity would take the iron to the ball, effortless swing. And i do agree with all the other reviewers that these irons do promote straight ball flights. They do not sacrifice distance on off centered hits. My bag is now full of Cleveland products, from driver to the irons. would want to try the CG 10 the next time. Cleveland rocks!
