First off, the only good thing to come from Cleveland is wedges and Lebron James. Despite the recent buyout (Srixon buying Cleveland), I decided to try these clubs. I compare that merger to if Toyota would have bought out GM. Twqo company's that don't care about their customers or products. For those who don't know, which seems to be the most of you judging by the moronic reviews on this site, SRI Sport Division recently bought out Cleveland for way too much money. I have many investments myself and follow the market, so I know. You can thank me later for the history/economics lesson, right now I'll talk golf. My friend let me borrow these after he bought up, because he is smart and values advice from a precision player. You should do the same. Anyway, these clubs didn't suit me at all. The spin ratio was way too high on these clubs. I found myself spinning balls back about 5-8 feet more than usual. That may not seem like a big deal but part of my greatness is pinpoint accuracy and spin. Distance was about the same as my R-7's, so it put me in between clubs for a lot of shots with the added spin. I usually lay up about 1-2 yards of ideal so I am not between clubs. The feel was not there either. I expect that buttery feel that true greatness deserves. Thank goodness they were my friends clubs and I did not buy them. He thanked me after listening to my club recommendations. Told him to try the Ping I-15's because he shoots around mid 70 to low 80's and they look like a shovel and are forgiving for high handicappers, which I consider him. And by the way, for those of you who like the black beautiful look, don't get used to it my friends already looked dull. I am a close friend of Jim Furyk (not too mention the second best player besides him to come out of south eastern Pennsylvania) and he completely agreed with me. I joke with him that although he has a nasty hitch in his swing, we like similar clubs. He has been jealous of my smooth tempo for years. That being said, go with something else. May I suggest the Titliest AP2 or Mizuno 60's, if you can afford them. If not than put an eye patch on and invest in a wooden leg if you wanna play these pirate ship soundin pieces of $$$$$.

Shiver me timbers, they hav been pathetic during the merger. Typically when i would buy my wedges they treated me like I should be treated, gold.

Let me just say I have never used Cleveland irons before, I was always a Nike iron guy my golf game was alot better since 2 shoulder surgeries and one ankle surgery I am just getting back into my swing pretty much starting from scratch and I am stoked. But anyway to the irons. The only reason I even tried Cleveland clubs is cause my buddy bought the regular CG7 irons and since I havent played for two years it was time to get rid of my Nike Pro Combos.. So I went to the range and tried his CG7 irons they felt great so I went to Golfsmith and got fitted for clubs my swing is alot different from what it was I am like starting over again they fitted me and suggested I went with a stiff flex my club head speed was 97mph and I was hitting my 7 about 152yds so I told the salesman I will take the CG7 in a stiff then he told me that they didnt have them in stock but he just got these the new 2010 CG7 Black Pearl Irons as he handed me the club I was like WOW first off they are the nicest looking clubs I have seen the Black Pearls are just NICE.... They are really Gun Metal not Black but either way if you have seen the Cleveland CG15 wedges they are that color. As soon as he handed me the iron and I took a swing it felt incredible it was like that one swing out of fifty that you say wow that was a nice hit it sounded so sweet I was still hooked up to the computer analysis and the ball flight was perfect I was one yard of center and i usually slice this was a bit a draw and my ball spin was way higher then whats was coming out when I was hitting the regular CG7 and I thought and felt like I was hitting a 7 iron but he handed me a 6 iron by mistake which answered why the yardage was 176 which I was like wow I will take these right now...LOL but still my 6 iron is usually 165-170. I got fitted for tru temper SL s-300 shafts with a high Kickpoint, the CG7 BP comes with a Cleveland Flight Speed shaft with a Mid Kick Point I went with those cause I didnt want to wait for the order for Tru Temper Shafts and my ball flight was perfect so the stock shafts are very nice the club all together just felt AWESOME.. From not playing golf in abou 1 1/2 years and not swinging these clubs are pretty forgiving and they are super easy to hit and when you see the club face and the zip grooves you can understand the ball spin I was generating.. So I bought these babies for $619.00 for 3-PW from Golfsmith you can order them with any shafts you want and any clubs you want so if you want 4-PW you can order and they minus about $95 per club.

So I went to the range the next day with my cousin who is a single digit handicapper and he loved them he couldnt get enough of them and my shots were right there with his I really think these clubs are gonna help me get to were I was.. They have a Tour model which retail for $100 bucks more but I really think that anybody with a low mid handicap are fine with the standard CG7 BP cause liek I said my cousin was loving them and he is a real low Handicapper. I give these a 5 all the way they look great such a nice finish you just feel great holding these in your hand and they are forgiving and consistent and thats all I want in a club.. So am I a Cleveland fan Hell Yes I am these puppies really open my eyes to Cleveland and now everything in my bag is Cleveland except my 3 wood and my Scotty... Buy these they are well worth it..
