Two thumbs way up. My last set of irons were Cleveland TA7, great clubs but too much about game improvement. I play to a 4, and they would just go too high and I couldn't work them at all. These clubs are great though. Great feeling at impact, and very workable.

Finally used a set of forged clubs and will never go back. Replaced a set of BB 2004's. I thought I had the most forgiving club on the market until I bought a used set of TA3's last year. I finally know what is meant by feeling the club. High ball flight and ease of hit is amazing. I bought set of TA2's this year and started my trip down into the eighties. My son used my clubs one weekend and he now carries TA2's as well. If you can find a good set it is the best investment you will make. The club manufacturers have convinced us we need to hit deep cavity backs. If you have a good swing you need a good club. Try the Cleveland TA2's or 3's and you will convert.

I bought my Ta2's after a set of graphite shaft Orbiters. When i really started to get serious about golf. I was very pleased with the way they hit, the feel is unbeilevably soft, and you can work the ball great. The length was unbelievable compared to my previous irons, but consistent. When i first got them they tended to have a big draw, but once i figured out how to play them straight they were perfect. I really reccomend them to anyone in the 80's who wants to have a great workable set of irons. One last thing is every iron is easy to hit my 3 Iron has becoem my favorite club with these clubs.

I have admired the styling of these irons for quite some time and recently purchased a used set on eBay. I went from forged cavity back Precepts to these and they are outstanding in everyway. Solid, workable, fairly forgiving, and beautiful at address.

Customer Service

Not used, but have spoken with them on the phone a time or two and they were extremely helpful and friendly.

I bought the Cleveland TA2 after having a set of TA6's. I also tried their new CG4 irons but didn't like them on the course, they were great on the range. The TA2's for me are much easier to hit. The TA6's & the CG4's were too light, I just couldn't tell where the clubhead was and I didn't like the feel either of them. I owned a set of TA3's that I wore out and since Cleveland doesn't make the 3's anymore I settled on the TA2's with S300 steel shafts. I bought a brand new set on Ebay for $225. What a deal. I'm 55 and have no trouble with the shaft flex. Really nice hitting irons with consistant distance. Nice chrome finish and the little hosel offset, they set up nice and the ball leaps off the club face. I was losing yardage with the TA6's. If you can find a used set they are worth it.

Customer Service

Called Cleveland one day to get the loft and lie angles and they were friendly and helpful.

I recently sold my old ping eye 2's and bought these ta2's on ebay for about $375. good deal. I didnt think id be able to hit these because im only 15 and i used to be in the 90's. these irons look like a blade but are cavity back, softest feel. i recomend everyone to use cleveland equipment. my bag consists of a cobra 414 comp 9*, launcher 15*, cobra baffler 20*, ta2's 4-pw, cleveland gunmetal 54* and 60* wedges and a newport 2 putter..they are all excellent clubs. however i do not recomend the golf pride tour velvet grips on these irons, they feel too fat. id go with a winn v17 daly style, thats right. cleveland buy em..singh and daly 84 lumber and hooters, gotta love cleveland!

I think these are really a well made club. They have great playability and workabilty for an iron. They are forged cavity back after all. Easy to find the sweet spot and hit on line. The clubs work well are easy to hit and line up nicely. Distance isn't a problem they are consistant from swing to swing. From the long irons to the short irons they are really a blast to play. I am sad to see that Cleveland stopped producing such a fine iron set. If you can find a used set they are a deal. The real deal.

Just got the TA2s with G. Dynamic S-300 shafts and I am very pleased with the feel, appearance and results of these clubs. I hit a 7 iron 150 yards, not a huge hitter in comparison to other golfers. The TA2s were a clean demo set. I got the TA2s as a replacement of TA7s which were also purchased used. The previous owner of the TA7s had the 3 iron shaft replaced but the person who did the shaft work did not tip the shaft, only a butt cut at the end of the shaft. Upon discovering this, I returned this set of TA7s to the golf shop. As I compare the TA7s to the TA2s, the TA7s are a little larger, have more offset and did not have as good of a feel. TA7s felt more like a board. I made this conclusion after all shafts (Release and S-300) available in the TA7s were demoed. For me, the TA2s set up better at address, have a heavier club and club head feel so that I could better determine where the club head was in my swing pattern. Oftentimes, golfers are steered away from what store salesman call "players clubs". My suggestion is when in a golf store to venture on your own, hit all of clubs that appeal to you and see what suits your swing the best and what clubs you hit the best. I think high tech is great, but is oversold by some in the golf business if you are an experienced golfer and have an idea what your looking for in club hitting/playing characteristics. The TA2s are also better than the Titliest 990s I hit. Gary

Customer Service

Customer service was responsive to my question of a shaft replcement for the TA7. GolfWorks was the only golf supply store that I was able to find the Release SensiCore shafts.

I am not a single digit handicapper, nor, aside from needing to hit a punch/draw once in awhile do I work the ball. These are one of the most under-appreciated irons that exist and are a steal on Ebay now that they are discontinued. Despite the smaller size, they are not difficult to hit. I have them with DG S300's and they are straight hitting with a low-mid ball flight. And they are straight. You don't need to be on tour to enjoy these. They are no more difficult to enjoy than TA7's. They perhaps weren't marketed right, and between the TA3's and CG2's were not around long, but they are super !
