i have been reading reviews on this site and others for years.this is my favorite review site.i had to register to write this review. But i had to write the only golf club review i will ever write.i am a golf club junkie.i play left handed.i play a titleist 905r driver and some cleveland ta5 irons with +1inch rifle 6.0 shafts.i am a terrible golfer but i am currently better than many people.my irons and my driver are saving me.i have owned many drivers and i promise the 905r the one for me but i still may switch again soon, just always looking (shaft is important).i have also owned many irons from wilson Ci7,ta 3,ta5 gunmetal, macregor murfields(I LOVE BLADES),r7 draw, nike slingshot oss, ping eye 2,ping g2,ping i3,ping i3+,731 pm,tm 360,x 12,x 20,and a few more. With the correct shaft no irons and i mean no irons can make the average guy like me look so good.you can work the ball, hit high, hit low, penetrating ball flight.if i get a little more consistant chiping i will be in the 70s.if i switch to any other irons i would probably be back in the 90s.now how is that possible?these irons probably have the most reviews on this site for irons(now that is saying something).take it from a club junkie.dont buy the lastest irons.dont care what your friends think.buy these irons and make sure you get a shaft you like.i still cannot belive i wrote this review.i am sorry if it is not the best but i mean every word.(BEST IRONS EVER MADE IN MY HUMBLE OPINION)they also have a high maltby playabilty factor but thats not everything.i have played others that were supposed to have high playability and they were nothing like the ta5.there is nothing like them with the right shafts....PERIOD

THESE ARE THE BEST CLUBS I HAVE EVER HIT AND/OR FELT. Balanced perfectly, long, very forgiving and very price friendly.

What a sweet set of irons. The best I have ever played. Easy to hit and long. my 9 iron is 150-155 which is much longer than my old taylors. I have a higher swing speed 110 with my driver 90 or so with my 5 iron and still use regular flex. I just like the feel of the regulars. Easy to hit great value and will stick with these for awhile.

I bought these irons about a year ago in an auction. I went from being a high 90s player to being a low 80s to high 70s player. In my bag, these are the last clubs i am going to replace. I just love the way these clubs shape the ball when i want to shape it. Great forgiveness. They are great when bought used. Great clubs.

I play with those clubs for 7 years now (not played much, grooves still OK) and started to think it is time to change them. So I decided to go for r7 or X-20.
After reading all (POSITIVE) reviews here (THANKS TO ALL) decided to try mentioned clubs and see the actual difference. What a disappointment - both clubs were shorter (r7 8 m and X-20 about 5 in avg) and I decided not to change so far. I do not know for others but I am able to hit both fade and draw (just more experiment with the stance and open and closed clubface and get more confidence) and am not very good player- shoot low 80's...

I owned a set of Cleveland TA5 irons for 7 years, and really got a chance to improve my game with them. You can hit a high trajectory shot a good distance. I broke 100, 90, and 80 with these irons. They are very forgiving on most mis-hits. They are a little hard to work a fade since some TA5s have an offset to reduce slicing. I recommend these irons for high and mid level handicappers. I also recommend getting your TA5s refitted with custom grips at some point.

Customer Service

I bought these at the Golfers Warehouse in CT, and they provided excellent service. They knew a lot about the product and what kind of game and swing works best for the TA5s. Was also able to hit a few trial shots with several irons in the set to gauge feel and the shot.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVED them. I had the TA5 irons 3-PW for 3 years. LOVED them but sold them to buy the CG2 irons from Cleveland. Wish I had them back. They were Reg. Stiff shaft with sensicore the R300. I could hit them a mile. My 9 iron I could hit 150yrds and 5 iron 190 yrds. Miss them.

Bought these clubs off ebay for around $200cdn. They are worth every penny! Helps you hit every shot well even if the shot didnt feel very good. Cleveland name means you get a solid set of irons and at a good price since they are a few years old.
