Cleveland TA6 Irons

Cleveland TA6 Irons

DESCRIPTION

The expanded cavity design of the new TA6 creates a thinner, widened sole that locates the center of gravity lower and back. This makes it easier to get the ball in the air and creates a larger sweet spot and increased stability.

Great game-improvement clubs. Don't get to play as much as I'd like, but these irons really make up for the lack of range time. Very, very easy to hit and about a club longer than the Callaways I once played. Why make this game harder than you have to?

Got these irons two weeks ago. Went to my local golf shop and hit several different irons, was using I3 Ping blades and just wasn't playing enough to keep them dialed in. I went to the shop that day to buy Mizuno x17's, and pro suggested I hit the TA6 demo. I had hit the launcher and found it too bulky for me, but had not hit the TA6. I was truly amazed at how easy this club is to hit, exudes confidence at setup, very easy to align (which was my problem with the ping's) and as long if not longer than any other club I have owned or demo'ed. If you are a recreational player with a repeatable swing but not as much time as you would like, give these clubs a try. First round out with them I shot 81 with 2 3 putt greens. Finding the carpet is going to be much easier with these clubs. Cleveland got these right, looks, performance, and price all in one package.

I had been playing with a set of MacGregors for nearly 6 years when I decided to finally change my clubs. I tried a few rounds with friends clubs, the Ping G2's and Taylor Made RAC OS's. I finally tried the Cleveland Ta-6's and found them very similar to the previous two mentioned. I went for the Clevelands because they were much cheaper than the other sets yet felt the same. I feel more confident of getting a much more solid strike each time. I have gained a little distance on each iron but the main benefit is that I can really get them high and even with six iron can stop it within 6 feet of the bounce (and I couldn't spin the ball at all before!). Also the mates who owned the other clubs had a go with them and they also can't feel any difference between mine and their, slightly more expensive, clubs.

I love these clubs. I dropped 4 index points in 2 months. My goal was to start shooting in the 70s and that is happing. Ball flight is higher but manageable. Off set is probably too much for me. Clubs have big sweet spot. Greens in regulation is the difference in my game now. Would recommend to any level golfer. I got fitted by Cleveland on a club demo day and the pro shop made me a great deal. $56.25 a club delivered to my door. I’m pleased.

Damn good irons. Extremely easy to hit, just fly off the clubface. I hit everything and these were the best. PLEASE JUST GO TO EBAY. Payed 250$ instead of 500$ at my local golf store.

I've had my set of Cleveland TA-6 irons for about 2 months. I think they are a great iron. I used to be a decent golfer, but had to get rid of my Titliest blades for a more forgiving set of irons. The TA-6s are very forgiving and just as sweet as the old blades. I've owned some Cleveland Wedges before, but never tried there irons. I couldn't be happier with the result and will own them for a long time.

For two years I seemed stuck shooting mid-low 90s, I was sick of not making progress no matter how much time I put in at the range. So I decided to upgrade on equipment, and after trying numerous game-improvement irons I decided on the TA6's, mostly because they looked and felt much better than the others, and I found them quite cheap on Ebay. So after my upgrade my scores have dropped to mid-low 80s, but my first two rounds with them I was consistently hooking my approach shots due to the offset which had not seemed to be a problem at the range, but after a little meddling with my stance and grip they are soaring off the fairways, and even out of the rough. I reccomend for anyone who does not already hit a draw, or wishes to easily hit a fade shot on command as I have noticed extreme difficulty with this one shot.

I recently purchased the TA6's, wow what a club. I went to the shop thinking I was going to buy the Nike NDS irons, also good clubs, but tried the TA6 and just loved them. They were a little more forgiving than the Nike's and I thought that they looked a little better. I have only played one round with these clubs, but I hit every green and every shot was crisp and went where it was supposed to go. I love these irons, I think they are one of the best looking irons out there, and the price was very reasonable, I purchased them for $449 at Golf Galaxy. I would recommend these clubs to anyone who wants to take there game to the next level, but isn't ready for blades.

Added the 8 and 9 iron to my set for around $60 each. Playing several hybrids so I did not need a full set. Went with the Nike Slingshot for the 7 iron. I wish I would have stuck with Cleveland. The 8 and 9 iron are solid! Very long and straight. A little heavier than the Nike, but still easy to hit. I would think the full set would be the same.
