Cleveland TA7 Irons

Cleveland TA7 Irons

DESCRIPTION

The New TA7 all ability clubs from Cleveland Golf feature Micro-Cavities. This patented technology lightens the top line and lowers the center of gravity, moving more weight to the perimeter of the clubhead, providing exceptional feel. The shape of the TA7 incorporates a conventional game-improvement face depth with modern heel-to-toe blade length, creating an extremely large hitting area. The TA7 also features a progressive offset, the patented Vibration Absorbing System, and a high energy finish.

Let me begin by saying I really like these clubs. I've now played 20 rounds with them so I think I've finally got the hang of them. I've been really able to increase my accuracy. My problem stems from everyone stating that they've gained distance with these clubs. Not true with me, in fact I've lost at least a half club with each and every iron. I played Pings for years and recently Adams and both these sets of irons went approximately the same distance. Consequently I've had to re-examine my entire iron game and set make-up in order to compensate for this lack of distance. 5-10 yards per club certainly makes a difference so I just wanted to add this to all the reviews because it seems like everyone says these are long...they are not...but they are deadly accurate and I like them very much.

Customer Service

Haven't needed them. Bought the clubs used and they were in great shape. But two of the ferrules were already loose and I had to reset them with epoxy. This doesn't bode well for long term quality, especially on a set the initially costs big bucks.

I would reccomend these clubs to anyone. I tried the TA7's and one of the golf club's I belong to and I bought them the next day. They have a great feel, look and they are perfect for any golfer. I bought the tour set a couple of months after( I shoot in low 70's to mid 60's and i wanted more distance out of them). They are great irons and i congradulate cleveland golf on a great success.

Awesome clubs!! Very solid and forgiving. The shape of the head looks good sitting behind the ball. Even though there is considerable offset it is pretty easy to draw and fade at will. They can be purchased through reputable auction houses on ebay for under two hundred dollars and that is one of the best buys out there in my opinion. This club design should suit all skill levels. The correct shaft will control ball flight, although the stock TT with sensicore is a good performer. When you take into account price, shape (not too big, not too small),and performance you should give these irons a serious look and or test drive.

I purchased a set (3-P) of slightly used TA7s after placing a bid on eBay (got 'em for $162). This is the second set of irons I have had since starting in the game of golf. My first set was a $100 starter set and these TA7s are like trading in a skateboard for a sports car. I can hit these irons incredibly long and accurate for someone shooting in the 90s. I think I'll break 90 sometime this season and I have the TA7s to thank for it!!!!

I was looking for a more forgiving iron then my current blades and settled on the TA7's after looking at many irons. Overall, they have been very good and have improved my confidence with my long iron play. However; I feel the PW is too bulky (replace with a Cleveland RTG) and the short irons have too much offset. I believe the addtional offset causes me to pull short irons. I'm currently looking for a model (like the TA7 tour) with less offset in the short irons. I'm a 9 handicap and would recommend them too a mid to high handicap looking for a solid game improvement iron.

The higher end irons seem fine to me,can get good distance and control. However, the lower end irons, lack the feel and control that I am used to. I dislike the pw, it is too bulky ;can get no feel from it what so ever.

I do not see my self improving with these clubs. For the occasional golfer who is happy just to play , these are fine. But if you want to improve your game. I would not recommend these. They just feel like shovels to me. Similar to Calaways.

Excellent irons for any skill level. There are better sticks out there for advanced players but these are great for the average golfer looking for a iron closer to a 'players' iron. I can't find a flaw with these, nice trajectory, acceptable feel and they wear well. Very easy-to-hit long irons and the PW wasn't too bulky, a common thing nowadays. They are one of the best cast irons I've ever played so if you aren't looking for a spendy forged iron these should do the trick.
For the price you cannot do better.

I love these! They are so easy to hit. I had regular graphite shafted irons before (which are meant to go longer than steel) and hit them all over the show but i havn't lost any distance with these and hit them straight as arrows. You can rip the long irons and still get the accuracy. They are a reasonable price for nice irons (i paid nz$900 brand new) and they are worth every cent. When you hit them well they feel mint and even with a bad strike they feel nice

All i can say is that these are fantastic irons. I wanted a set of pings or callaway but because of the expensive cost I settled with these great irons, i am so happy i did. At a demo day i hit each iron 10 yds further with the ta7's than both the g5 and x-18's. I can't explain enough how great these clubs are and how resonably priced these are.

All I can say that it's a very solid and easy to use iron set. Although it's kinda weird to see the offset at the setup, but this club giving back good response when you swing it properly. I especially love the 3 and 4 iron, I used to have some problems with the most long irons but...not with TA-7, on a good smooth swing I can get 190-210 yds with the 3 iron and the ball flight was also nice (no need for me to buy those hybrids anyway)
I also like the feel of the club on a solid contact, very smooth and light.
And most of all, the TA-7 will be in my bag for a very..very..long time !

Customer Service

Never use them. haven't got any problems yet
