I, being a lefty, have a tendency to fade the ball just like every other lefty alive. So after playing with a set of ping knockoffs I decided to go buy a nice set of irons. WOW. These irons are great! I hardly ever missed with my old clubs but now I NEVER miss. They might look screwed up but these clubs are the greatest thing to ever to sit in my bag

Purchased these irons 7 years ago. Showed immediate improvement over my older irons. These are great for game improvement. Ugly, but get the job done. The offset keeps your hands in front and allows for a slight draw when ball is struck correctly. Just ordered a new set of Tommy Armour 845 Stripe irons, but will keep my VAS irons as a back-up set for visitors or in case I ever need to take my game back to a starting point with forgiveness. If you can find these and don't care about looks ... buy 'em. I've seen some reviews state these irons are short, but I hit the 9 iron about 130 yars and the 7 iron a little more than 160.

I've been golfing for 4 years and these irons were bought after my second year. For a beginner at this game you couldn't go wrong starting your journey with these irons, when struck right you will witness a straight ball flight with a draw due to the offset. These heads are large but not massive so you can work the ball some, and they are very forgiving as well as letting you feel your miss hits. I bought my VAS+ with graphite shafts, but changed to Dynamic Gold Lite S300 and know I hit my 3iron 210 yds and my 2iron with a 6.0 riffle shaft 225 yds. I reccomend a gap wedge to make up the yardage shortage. I will be upgrading my irons, but will always keep these weapons for those times when my game needs to go back to the starting point, and also for my son when starts to seriously play. Buy these irons if you can find them, not for their beauty, for they are ugly, buy them if you want forgivness, irons to help you build a solid swing foundation, and if you want a ball flight that will keep you coming back to the course. Money well spent.

I bought these clubs as my first real set of golf clubs and absolutely loved them for the 2+ years that I used them. I actually found these clubs to be fairly long. They aren''t much for looks or for working the ball but if you want to hit them straight this is the way to go.

I got the Cleveland VAS irons from my dad after he bought some Titleist irons. I was skeptical at first because of the odd clubhead design but i gave them a try and they hit great. I was hitting the ball higher and farther with more consistanty.

This is my second set of irons. I played with an ancient set of Spalding Executive blades forever before buying these, & I love them. A little short, but very forgiving, & good feedback for non-forged/Cavity back clubs. The shorter irons are GREAT; particularly the sand wedge, although the stock grips are a little too slick. Overall though, a GREAT value.

I am a relatively new golfer and I was trying out some clubs with my roomate. He as going to buy the Cleveland VAS from a friend and we were at a course to try them out. Never before have I hit a club so solidly as these. All of my iron shots were perfectly straight and I got my first birdie on a Par 3. All due to the straight-hitting ability of these clubs. Forgiveness is massive and results are immediate.

Clubs allow solid contact and high ball flight. About a half-club short on distance, can be attributed to the shafts being a half inch shorter than most standard length irons. Very forgiving, little vibration, and good out of rough.
