these are a really good value. a good buy for low to mid handicappers. these fly very high and are decently workable. of course very forgiving. it's hard to hit a shot that actually feels bad. i had some trouble getting used to the stiff steel shaft. but it's all good.

First let me say that I am only going to compare my GB's to set s I've owned and played as opposed to swinging at the range or simulator. GB's: love 'em. When I moved from a golf friendly part of the country [L.A.-playing 2 times a week shooting low 80's] to the midwest, I was playing MP-14's with balatas exclusively. As my game deteriorated , I decided that I had to get into a set of game improvement type irons and get away from my blades. I first purchased a set of Ping ISI's with graphite shafts and they were without a doubt my least favorite clubs. I put them on consignment and bought Top-Flite tours which are actually a very nice club, but a stiff shaft. I used them until my Pings sold then traded my mizunos for the GB's after hours and countless Saturdays demo'ing every club I could get my hands on within my price range. The GB's felt dead on. You all know that feeling. I traded my MP-14's for them on the spot. I have not had any interest in trading them in at all. I highly recommend these clubs for anyone who wants game improvement and distance in addition to a club that they can grow into when they want to start "working" the ball.

I''ve played with the Cobra Gravity Back Irons (2 Iron to PW, S-Flex Shaft) for the past two years before switching to the Ben Hogan Apex Plus. The Cobra Gravity Back Irons are an excellent set of reputable name brand, game improvement clubs for the serious minded mid to high handicap golfer. The thick topline and wide sole offer confidence at address. These user friendly irons, are offseted to easily get the ball airborne, and offer forgiveness on mis-centered shots that would be most appreciated by the high-handicapper. For the mid-handicapper, you will notice that these irons are easy to control. In addition, you will also notice that the trajectory will vary with each iron group. The short irons (8 Iron to PW) fly high and lands soft, the mid irons(5 to 7 Iron) bore nicely through the air and the longer irons (2 to 4 Iron)are user friendly and fly long. Due to the size, weight and material of the club head, it seems that these iron have a little more carry distance than a lighter mid-size iron. As far as working the ball for a draw or fade...it is possible for the mid-handicapper to achieve, but not so easy for the high-handicapper. At this level, let''s be honest...concentrate on striking the ball on the center of the iron and keeping it straight at this level should be paramount. Eventually with time and commitment to the game, you will move up to the next level of play and change irons. However, I truly believe this is an excellent choice for the serious minded beginner through to the mid-handicapper.

I started playing golf a year ago and wanted a nice set of clubs at an affordable price (Isn''t that what we all want?.) Currently my handicap is a 20, but my latest rounds have been 86,88,91. I think these clubs are excellent for the price I paid and would highly recommend them for a mid to high handicap golfer. They have excellent feel and distance for an oversized iron.

Love these clubs. I seem to hit them much longer than my last set (of wilson''''s :). I''''m told they are delofted a little which makes the balls travel further. nice feel on the grips and easier to hit the ball solid even though they aren''''t oversize.

Very good clubs. Definite improvement, over my previous set of Wison O/S''s. Swing now has more feel and sounds crisper when striking the ball. (Granted a club is just an extension of a persons swing. ie. If you have no swing/grip forget buying an expensive set of clubs, instead work on the fundementals first). So far I''ve played 4 rounds and my score has improved by 5-stokes. My confidence is much higher. Workmanship and quality is also a plus, this set is constructed far better than the (made-in-China)Wilson''s. Once this set has seen better days and time to retire, I will not forget Cobra''s quality and feel.
