I absolutely love these irons. These go furthur than my previous set and the the oversize head allows me to make a perfect hit everytime,(95%of the time). These irons are light weight and allows for a higher swing speed. I went to the golf store, 35th bet 6 and 7 ave Manhattan, and tried out the Cleveland TA7, Callaway x-16, and the Taylor Made RAC and the Cobra SS-i(all graphite shafts) and the Cobra SS-i was the best of the bunch. I hit these irons ALOT longer and my interest in the game was renewed. If you have a slower swing speed and need some forgiveness, these are the irons for you. These irons are confidence builders. You can probably save some money and buy these on ebay, they usually retial for $550 at golfsmith and other fine golf stores, I got mine for $400.

THESE CLUBS ARE GREAT. I TURNED IN SOME SNAKE EYES TC01'S FOR THESE CLUBS. THE SS-I'S ARE ONE CLUB LONGER THAN MY TC01'S AND MUCH STRAIGHTER. DIFFICULT TO WORK THE BALL, BUT I KNEW THEY WOULD BE. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT EVERY SHOT FEELS THE SAME. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THESE IRONS TO ALL HANDICAPS.

Just purchased the new King Cobra SSi graphites, regular shaft, after 6 years with Nicholas N-1's, a great Iron in it's original configuration(Tony Penna designed) I was looking for a bit more forgiveness in the long Irons, and they work! In fact, I'm amazed at the difference. I used to take a lot of fairway left on 5 and up, because I needed it all. I'm readjusting the aiming point to centre now, which is really different for me. All the clubs, P through 3 seem to hold their line very well, in spite of my tendency to slice the long ones and pull the short ones (yes, I have an outside-in swing path, dang it!) Distances seem to be one club longer than my older set. I'm now getting 160 from the 5 Iron. Still dialing in on the short ones. The feel is very muted and soft on centre, and progressively livelier as I get farther from the spot. Sweet spot DOES seem to be a really good size, as I've had some very surprising results from less than great swings. The one dead area is top toe, where nothing happens. Of course, it's a fair question to ask HOW one would hit there anyhow...well, I was curious so I set it up and tried it. The Aldila shafts seem to suit my swing speed well. Grips are to my liking so far, however some reviewers have commented they didn't like them. To each his own. I will have no hesitation in changing to half-cords again when these wear. All in all, I am very pleased with these clubs. I would rate them 5 out of 5. Best I've played with.

Excellent irons. I tried several different sets of irons before deciding to buy these, and I am very satisfied. I can now hit my long irons very consistently, which I have never been able to do in my 3 years of playing golf. The grips could be better, however.

My Set of clubs were stolen at a local golf course on MLK day of 2003 while I was checking in with the starter. This started my search for new clubs. I was staying away from Cobra because of the flops they have released recently. The manager at teh pro shop I visit wasw making several suggestions based on what he has seen of me in the past. I am one of those annoying guys that loves to spend time in the pro shop. I hit several clubs and could not make up my mind. Finally he handed me a club with out telling me what it was and I crushed a 7 about 185 with a slight draw. I was in heaven. I hit ten more balls before even remembering to see what I was hitting. I hit all the clubs about as well as a high handicapper could hope too. I now own a set and Highly recommend them to anyone on the market.

I love these irons! A few weeks ago I went to Maple Hill West to try out some golf clubs for this upcoming high school golf season. I am a freshmen (going to be a sophmore) in high school, so I was looking for clubs to help me increase my play in order to make the Varsity team this year. So I went to hit some clubs and I had heard extremely good news about the King Cobra SS irons. I went there and the pro in the pro shop introduced me to the new and improved SS-i and told me that those sets of irons could have been his highest seller of the older SS version last year. The weather was very crappy with about high 30 degrees outside and about 30 mile per hour winds straight into my face. So I took the seven iron, gave it a smooth swing, and hit it about 160 yards! I went back and hit them again later the next week and hit the again very well, I had to buy them. I have played with them numerous times and I love them. They work great for me and have awesome feel. I have told my grandpa who is also the varsity golf coach that these clubs are made by God! I will be getting the woods very soon. Buy them!

Customer Service

I think that Maple Hill West is the best golf pro shop/store in the country!

These are the new and outstanding irons from Cobra. Great distance and ball flight. I checked with Cobra first, who confirmed they can be bent up to 4 degrees, so I had mine bent 2 degrees upright. I also regripped them because the stock Cobra grips seem very cheap and crack easily.

Customer Service

Cobra was very informative and helpful. Proshopware house provides excellent prices and delivery.

After 10 years of my Top-Flite Tour Pro Offset irons, I decided it was time for some new sticks. I wasn't getting decent height or backspin on the ball anymore, nor the forgiveness I now need. I've broken 80 a handful of times, but generally shoot in the mid 80s. Having kids meant less time on the course for me, so I finally admitted that I needed clubs with more forgiveness and game improvement features. After trying out Tommy Armour EVOs, 845s, 855s, Titleist 822 OS, Top Flite XL 2000, Callaway X-14s, to name just a few, these Cobras caught my eye (must have been the brilliant chrome finish). While the other clubs were adequate if unspectacular, these Cobras delivered immediately. Long, high, soft shots with a slight draw. This is my natural shot shape when I'm going good, so I was impressed. I had heard that these clubs were so straight that it was difficult to "work" the ball. Well, I can draw it when I want to for the most part, although hitting a fade is a tougher task for me. Whether that's me or the club remains to be seen, but I can live with that. If there's a right pin, I'll either go right at it or shoot for the center of the green. One other thing - this is my first set with graphite shafts...and I'll never go back to steel (except for my wedges). Solid feel and feedback on well-sruck shots, but without the wrist shock and "pang" of steel on less-than-perfect shots. I tend to take deep divots, so I'm thankful that these also have a sole that is shaped to discourage taking huge chunks of earth. Also, the 3 and 4 irons with the Tungsten insert are great. I am actually eager to hit my long irons now! If you're in the market for forgiving clubs that hit long, high, soft shots with ball-stopping spin, these are for you. You WON'T be disappointed!

I love these irons. I tried out the 6 iron and jacked it further than any other 6 iron. It's almost impossible to shank and they feel great when you hit the sweet spot. They fly high(not too high) and zing across the air. They are great clubs and I love them!
