Strength:

Dunlop Loco irons are generally designed with game improvement in mind. This means they often feature technologies and design elements that aim to make them forgiving and easy to hit, making them suitable for beginners or higher handicappers. by tstoto

Wow, this club actually sucks...
It's not easy to use, and don't buy it...
At the moment, I'm actually selling mine for a better club...

Model Reviewed: Loco Hybrid

I have tested many other hybrids, but the Loco was the best priced one out there. It comes with a Harrison shaft and I can hit the ball with ease. I wish I could hit my driver this easily! My only complaint is I just wish they made the Loco hybrid in more lofts. I wonder why more people haven't gone with hybrids? They are very easy to hit!

Model Reviewed: LoCo Utility #3 and #4

A friend picked up the #4 and out on course, I had a go with the club. I had muffed the tee-off with my driver and used the Dunlop to hit the next shot from light rough. I sent the shot straight into a HUGE leaf on a palm tree, left a golf ball sized hole in it but found my ball straight down some distance away. I picked up the #3 and #4 less than a week later. I have used them on course with slightly mixed results but that's more likely a player problem than a equipment one. When I hit it right it goes and then some. As I improve I feel I'll be able to really use these clubs. Some people may not like the grips soft and spongy but I do. I quite like the shafts as well. I feel they work well. Using the #3, I've sent balls 180 meters and I'm only 5'7" and on the thin side. This is a lot of bang for the money paid. It's not a prestigious brand and it looks more funky than classy but I'm recommending these clubs.

WOW! I've heard all the shows talk about hybrids and how easy they are to hit. I've heard the pros are now carrying them in their bags. I play with guys on the league that have them but I hadn't ever hit one. The kicker came one Sunday afternoon driving home from PA and listening to the local pros on the radio. Some guy asked about hybrids and said he bought a cheapie (the Loco #4) and said "it's like cheatin'! Well, I found one on EBAY the next day for $33 new. First chance to hit it I was 175 out flat lie. Nice easy swing, bounced 2 times on the green and then over. Best guess was 180 carry and soooo easy and smooth. I love it...currently looking to complete the set. Cheatin' is right!!

Model Reviewed: dunlop loco hybrid #3, #4

Before I bought the Locos, I had wilson fat shaft #3 and #4 hybrids in steel shafts. They were nice but as my game has progressed, the offset just proved too much. I really wanted the Taylor Made rescue mids. Great club, but just too expensive for me. I bought these Loco hybrids off EBay for $40 each. What a great investment. I absolutely love the 20* 4 hybrid. It is my go to club for tight fairways or long second shots on par 5's. To me it was almost identical to the rescue mid. The 17* 3 hybrid has a bit of a larger head, but when struck well can really fly. I love the Harrison striper shaft. I have one of those in between swing speeds. The firm/mid flex of the shafts is perfect for me. The Winn Arrow grips are great for those hot, muggy Florida summer days. Don't be fooled by the lack of advertising, these are great clubs. It seems Dunlop has been putting out some great equipment (see revews for the loco pro driver)at great prices. These are great off the tee, a perfect fairway lie, or from trouble. I recently hit the #4 from a fairway bunker 200yds out to the green. I never could get out of a fairwaybunker with that kind of authority before these clubs. Great investment for my game.
