Giant GX2 Irons

Giant GX2 Irons

DESCRIPTION

With a focus on helping mid to high handicap players, Giant Golf has developed an innovative new line with their GX2 Irons. A slightly oversized, graphite shafted, cavity back iron... the GX2's main difference, According to Giant Golf, is "their exclusive 'CCP,' Corrective Clubhead Positioning." "CCP" sets the club head slightly behind the shaft, helping to get the hands in the correct position at impact (slightly ahead of the clubhead) helping to keep the face square at impact.

As far as I'm concerned, the best irons ever. They are 1-2 clubs longer, even more in the long irons. They are very offset and forgiving, toe hits lose little distance. I bought these clubs and they have taken 10 strokes off my game from hitting many more greens. I truly love them. From the soft grips (WINN), quality shafts, and offset heads, these clubs are perfect.

Customer Service

Very knowledgable and friendly. You also get a lifetime warranty.

Very lively clubs. Had to make swing adjustments. I have a fast swing, so I chose the stiff shafts. Initially, I was pulling everything left because my club head speed had increased with the Giants. The club head finished ahead of my hands. I corrected by using a steeper swing plane, which gave me incredible lift. And I slowed my swing down a bit, and stiffened my left elbow more at the top of my backswing. I'm a club longer now while swinging with less effort. The clubs are very forgiving, and the the three wedge system takes the guess work out of short approach shots. Now, if they only made a putter!

Customer Service

The rep at the tournament was very personable and knowledgeable. The in house staff seems very enthusiastic about their product, and how it might help your game.

Great clubs! I tried many at a local pro
shop, but decided to give the 90 day
thing a try. I never went back to the shop! These babies are keepers!

I'm loving my new Giant irons. The GX2's are more forgiving than the Ping
Eye2's (with graphite shafts) that I've played for several years... and the
ball REALLY "zips" off the face. The lightweight graphite shaft seems to be
just the right flex (R) for me and it's got plenty of "pop."

I played two rounds back to back days (very rare for me) with my son over
the Thanksgiving holiday... I had just gotten my Giant's and hadn't had a
chance to play or practice with them yet so I played the first round with my
Ping's... I played poorly (87) on a far from tough course... so the next day
I went ahead and put the Giants in the bag having never swung them.

WOW... what a difference. The slightly oversized heads really made a difference in playability (particularly in the long irons) ...they look easy to hit at address and feel wonderful. I noticed that they cut through long
rough and go down through the turf very smoothly... they just feel great! My
son noticed that I seemed to hit them at least a full club longer than the
Pings (Guess that's why I was putting down hill all day!)

I played the 18th hole with a chance to break 80 for the first time in
several years (with a par)... but I pulled my drive and plugged it under the
lip of a fairway trap and that was that (81) ...but I'm sure it won't be
long now that I've got the new Giants in the bag.

Customer Service

FABULOUS! I initially saw a story on the (GIANT Golf) company in GolfNews
Magazine (a Southern California Golf publication) ...I was intrigued by
their very unique 90 Money Back guarantee, not to mention their offer to
throw in two FREE WEDGES... so I called the 800 number and... I had my clubs just a couple days later!

Hit these recently at a special club testing demo and liked them quite well. I felt that the very light graphite shafts gave me a little more speed through the ball than I generally get with my Ping's (i3's, also with graphite) ...but I'm guessing that the Gx2's shafts are lighter than those in my pings.

The "oversized" head looks (and is) easy to hit, and I felt they helped me hit the ball higher and on a stronger ball flight than my irons. (at least that's what my buddy told me!)

I also noticed that I was actually able to hit a strong draw with these rather than the stubborn high soft fade I generally play.

Overall very cool clubs! ...I noticed on their website (www.giantgolf.com) that they have a 90day money back guarantee ...wow, unheard of from a golf company! ...great idea!

Had an opportunity to test these irons recently at a local range...

Loved the feel of these irons! ...great looking club at address. They took a little getting used to, since I'm used to heavier stiff, steel shafted irons (Cobra Gravity Backs) ...but once I got a feel for the very light weight graphite shafts etc... they felt great... they really went through the ball and turf smoothly and the ball seemed to really explode off the face. They just seem to have a lot more power than my irons... more "kick" in the shafts. Very solid sticks!
