i had never hit honma clubs but had heard the were very good. i saw a set of pp717 tour blades and tried them. having played good quality blades i have never found anything to compare with these. i was going to get a set of the new srixon blades. no way. the honma,s are just fantastic. they have the ball flight i have been looking for and they are long...........very long. although they were used clubs they hade been well looked after. if you play blades try to find a set of these. you wont be disapointed.

Initially it was a very difficult set to play. After one month it began to work wonders and now my score is in the low 80's....

Excellent clubs. I have two sets with different shafts - super light titanium carbon and super featherweight titanium carbon. Both hit equally far. The former has the feeling of a steel shaft and the latter is extremely light. Both allow you to feel the head throughout the swing. They are forgiving, but you can also easily shape your shots. I also have custom fitted clubs (Henry Griffits)which cost the same, but don't come close to performance and feel. I thought the HG's would be better than my first set of Honmas, but after a few months of using them, I went back to my original Honmas and bought a second set of Honmas. I also have Honma woods which are incredible. You can't go wrong with Honmas (unless you have a bad swing, which no club can do anything about).

Customer Service

Excellent, first class service. One day, one of my clubs got stolen. The good news is, each set of Honma clubs has a unique serial number. I simply called a dealer and gave the serial number and club number. In a few weeks, I had an identical club in my hand (same shaft, same grip, same specifications). It was as if I never lost a club. Fact is, each club is custom made and the manufacturer keeps the specs of all clubs sold.

These clubs are great, cant get over how easy they are to hit. I am very pleased with them. I also would like to try the Twin Mark 3 star Driver but the price is much to high. It would be great if Honma had a demo or even a dealer in my state.

Customer Service

3 wood head cover ripped and was replaced at once.Service was good.

Started playing golf in '93, and have been using Honma Clubs since '95. Currently owned two sets one New LB 280, the other Big LB. Wonderful feel and distance. Hitting 135m with my nine iron. Also use the Big LB 3 wood which I broke the shaft probably two years ago, reshafted with other brand shaft. Couldn't get the same feeling as the original Honma shaft. Tried other brands of 3 wood for more than a year. Finally just bought a chrome plated Big LB. Great to have it back in my bag.

Model Reviewed: 280 LB 4 star shaft

Best clubs I ever owned, in fact bought two sets just to have it as emergency. Had 280 4 star before but new shaft is more longer and easier on impact. Also bought new Twin Mark driver. It is lightest and most forgiving driver I ever owned. Honma got my game down to low 80s from mid 90s using Callaway, Taylormade and Ping which, I have tried in the past.

Very expensive golf clubs but no doubt you are playing for quality clubs. Only question is whether it is still a bit too much to pay. However must say that they worked excellent for me. Been playing with the blades version of these clubs and surprising like them better cause of a better feel and reponse. Can't say much about the workability as i'm not at a level to work the ball at will. But overall, even the blades are an easy club to hit.... forgiving as compared to other blades i've tried. Only real complaint i have is that the short irons and wedges seem to have a bit too much loft on them. Guess would prefer a much lower ball flight.

Excellent clubs. Very high quality finish with very soft feel on impact. Also very forgiving.
Value comes less in the picture as the graphite shafted clubs are expensive.

Customer Service

Excellent. Broke a shaft and was replaced for free.

Wonderful irons, great feel in the longer irons, nice touch in the shorter ones. Great for the high handicapper with the soft feel during hits (and some mis-hits). Balance is biased heavily towards the base of the head. More suited for a swinging rather than a hitting type of player. Price is on the high side, but it is comparable among other hand-made irons. Pricing mainly depends on the quality of the chosen shaft. If one is not too choosy about the make, a steel or 2-3 star shaft would suffice. Beware of Immitations!!!!! Honma speciality has been in the shaft composition. Titanium strands bonded together with graphite/carbon composite. These strands are visible as thin metallic lines running along the shaft. Immitation shafts have these metallic lines ""drawn"" in. They ranged from crude thick lines to crooked fine lines that have been drawn in.

Customer Service

Excellent. Managed to find a club within my skill and budget through their help. And also warned about immitation makes (Honma and others).
