Have always wanted to try a set of blades. At this price I couldn't pass up the opportunity. Built them with Graphalloy Prolaunch Blue shafts and Golf Pride Multicompound grips. An absolutely beautiful set of irons.(2-PW)Also great looking at address, thin top line and smallish club head. As far as performance, when you pure them, they are butter smooth and long. With slight miss-hits there is not as much of a drop off in distance or direction as I have always heard about blades. But there is more than you're standard cavity back iron. Bigger mis-hits just flat out hurt. These definately aren't "game improvement" clubs. But I do believe they are "SWING" improvement clubs. Hit it well and it's a beautiful thing and these force you to do that. You cant get away with sloppy swings. Would recommend these for someone curious about blades who doesn't want to spend a huge amount of money.

Model Reviewed: MDC Tour blades

This is also a review of the MDC Tour blades and not the cavity backs shown here. Shafted with DG S300's. First and foremost these are visually classic beauties. I have and always will play blades (25+ yrs). Anything else just looks to chunky to me. You can play all the shots. To my mind they are relatively forgiving and feel oh so nice with a good strike. But then why should a bad shot fly 90% of a pure strike? At the price you simply cannot go wrong. A great introduction to Blades, you might just find they'll stay in your bag for some time.

Model Reviewed: SILVER DIAMOND MDC TOUR IRONS

I HAVE SEARCHED AND SEARCHED FOR THE BEST BLADE, HAVING TRIED HOGAN, TILEIST, EVEN A CUSTOM MADE HENRY GRIFFITHS SET. ALTHOUGH ALL WERE EXCELLENT, THE SILVER DIAMOND, JUST MADE GOLF SLIGHTLY EASIER. MINE ARE FITTED WITH RIFLE FCM 6.5 SHAFTS. THE TRAJECTORY IS SUPERB, DISTANCE IS 3-4 YARDS LONGER AND ACCURACY IS NOW AT A PREMIUM. EVEN ON THE OCCASSIONAL OFF CENTRE HIT DISTANCE DOES NOT DECREASE AS MUCH AS I WOULD HAVE ENVISAGED. A GREAT SET OF IRONS AND A FANTASTIC PRICE
