I have a set of KZG PFT irons that were custom fit for me several years ago. These have been great irons. I have always played ping irons and but the KZG s PFT irons feel great and I keep putting them back in my bag. I am sure they are a rare find now and if you can locate a set you can't go wrong.

Excellent set of irons for every level, beginner to accomplished. Very, very easy to hit straight and ahocking easy to shape shots when needed. My set has mid-kick graphite shafts and the ball gets into the air without any problem at all. Also wonderful feel back to your hands on every shot and you also get a nice "click" sound on well struck shots. I have read that some have said the clubs looked a little funky but that was when they first came out some 6 or 7 years ago -- since then all the big name brands have come out with rather bulky and gaudy looking models of game improvement and super game improvement irons that now make the PFT's look very traditional in comparison (the PFT's have no colorful glued on badges on the backside of the irons that so many have gone to lately - the PFT's are all steel which I like). The clubs have a slight offset and have what would be considered a mid-size head - the clubs look very solid at address and gives you a feeling of confidence. First time out with them I shot an easy 71 from the whites on a very tough course and on a very tough day - cool and windy early on (I am almost 60 now -and usually only play from the blues in mid -summer) and I birdied 3 or the 4 par 3's. The clubs are so long and accurate that come next season I will be able to play from the blues much more often as I get an extra 10 to 15 yards a club. The PFT's are extremely well balanced and just feel right in your hands - -there is just a feeling of tension free golf -- hard to explain. I purchased mine on eBay for $170. plus shipping -seller said they were used but it looked like only a three of the irons were hit a few times times the others looked like they were never touched - a heck of a deal really when I see what a premium set of brand new cavity backs go for these days -- I certainly would recommend that anyone should grab up a set of PFT's if you can find one available. I find KZG makes first rate , premium golf equipment as I also use a KZG Gemini II driver and a Gemini 3 wood and all are superior in every way. My only fear now is that some day my PFT's will wear out and I will want to replace them with same but they are a bit on the rare side -- so in the coming years they will be harder and harder to find. I see some golf shops that carry KZG still have them availabale but some do not.

I have 2 other sets: a gorgeous set of King Cobra Oversize II Forged cavity backs (circa 1997 I think), and a set of Nickent 3DX with the 3 and 4 hybrids. Although I love both these sets and both have treated me well over the years -- the KZG PFT's will be my gamers and in my bag for many years to come - I just can't imagine a better set of clubs for feel, distance, accuarcy, shot shaping and ease of play!
