is also active in charity activities that use golf as a means of raising funds. The charity golf tournament he initiated not only unites the community, but also makes a positive contribution to those in need. Some of the proceeds are donated to support education, health and social activities in the surrounding environment.

Take what you will from this. It's a great club for the price today and I think easier to hit for a forged iron than many other forged irons. And, in my case, easier to hit than many of today's new(ish), "You need these new xxxxx irons to play better" sets of clubs. Tuscaloosa Mobile Truck Repair

When you hit the ball dead center the club feels almost like hitting thin air, a feeling you want to store in your muscle memory. My opinion: I really love these clubs. This is a great club to learn with.

Played these clubs when Fred Couples played them about 22 years ago. Quit playing for 17 years started back playing 11/2 years ago. Tried Callaways, TM, Ping and theswere the only ones I could get the distance I had lost. I can hit 6-w very high and long irons medium height but long. Clubs give good feedback on off-center hits. They look like blades at address. Fat shots do get good distance. Pro's: nice lines at address. When hit solid, very high and long shots. Con's: Off center hits will cost distance and some vibration of clubs. Would not recommend for higher handicaps.

A friend of mine let me try his set of Lynx Parallax irons. I played a few nine hole rounds with them, and was pleasantly surprised. Although these perimeter weighted irons are about twenty years old, they performed very well for me. I hit seven of nine greens in regulation in one of the rounds I played with them. Frankly, I was impressed. My iron game has never been all that good, but I actually threatened a number of flagsticks with these irons. They have somewhat of a harder feel than more current models, but they do perform well. I strongly recommend you give them a try.

Shoots in the 80s

I played golf for four years in high school and then quit playing for six years and picked it up again. I've been playing for 2 years now since I started again and my game has improved by at least 10 strokes. I think I never forgot the fundamentals I learned when I was younger, and don't make many of the mental mistakes I used to make. I'm a 12 handicap. Lynx Parallax is the first set of clubs I ever owned. I have the pre-cavity back model that are really hard to hit. Small, narrow blades, firm steel shaft, ver little offset and not so good a grip. You have to hit it dead center for distance but it feels so great when you do. Any mis-hit will result in a hook or slice and/or loss of distance. But the club gives you incredible feed back. You really know when you left the club head open or slowed down in your down swing. When you hit the ball dead center the club feels almost like hitting thin air, a feeling you want to store in your muscle memory. My opinion: I really love these clubs. This is a great club to learn with. You could probably find a cheap set online for $20-$40. (That's all they are worth since they are at least a decade old, and Lynx went out of business.) If you believe in the saying "it's the golfer not the club," then I would recommend buying these clubs and using it to learn how to play. I really think all the new technology user-friendly clubs out there really don't teach one the fundamentals of the game. I see golfer with wacky swings hitting it straight because of the wide club head. But if you want to learn the traditional down the line Tiger or Mickelson type swing this is the set to practice on. You can really work these clubs once you have learned how to swing different strokes/shots. Final word: learn with these and then move to a forged-iron with high workability.

You can probably find these online for $20.
