Think Big Bertha ease and Mizuno forged soft, all in one club! If you can't hit these, go fishing. With these clubs you aim, fire and enjoy. They are long, go very high and land so softly it is not even funny. I read somewhere, (not in this forum), that bump and run is difficult because of the bulk of the club ... forget that! Easy swings are rewarded just like long swings, it just takes a little bit of practice, and I mean little! Excellent clubs, if you find them pre-owned, they will be a steal!

Customer Service

Outstanding! They actually answer emails and provide clear and concise information.

MacGregor M455 are the easiest irons I have hit in years. Sets up to the ball nicely and very easy to get airborne. Long irons are a breeze. I have played golf for 35 years, with a current 6 H.C. I am not playing as much as I used to, so I needed irons that were forgiving. Can't go wrong with these.

the feel is amazing. when you hit these things right you feel what good players feel. needless to say i'm not a good player so i don't get to feel it as much as i'd like to. now i'm spoiled for forged clubs and i can't break 90! but in 1 season i guess it's ok. the feel of these compared to just about everything in the game improvement line is unmatched. i never thought i would buy macgregors but i switched from 2004 callaway BB's and switched to these. and the Big Berthas were really nice. try these before you spend $700 on something that looks nice in a magazine ad. you will probably like them.

So far I absolutely love these irons. Very easy to hit straight and far. Have to say these are one of the few iron sets I can hit a 3 and 4 iron. Hit the 4 iron over 200 yards this last weekend which is not common for me - used to use a hybrid iron or a 7 wood. Not any more thanks to these. The higher irons are super easy to hit also with a real nice flight pattern. I would recommend these irons in a second. I hit everything on demo days and kept coming back to these. Plus for the price and forged - cant go wrong!

Ok, this is a really limited review since I only hit the 6 iron at a local golf store. I'm not sure how accurate the simulator was in the store but it said I was hitting the ball 200-210 yards and I even hit one 220! I usually hit my 6 iron (Mizuno MX-20) about 170-175 yards. Plus my wife was trying out a 9-wood and the simulator said she was hitting it 150 which is her usual 3-wood distance so I have a feeling the machine was a little off. BUT if she takes this 9-wood to the course (Cobra SZ) and starts hitting it 150 I may buy the MacGregor 6,7,and 8 irons to replace the 4,5,and 6 irons already in my bag. The club was very easy to hit and even balls that I didn't hit flush were still going 180 according to the machine. If I can find a place that will sell these irons individually, I still might buy the 6 iron just for ha-ha's. I gave it 4 stars because it was easy to hit and I have to give it a rating to post a summary.

Best of the best!! No one can better than the macgregors, simply best! simply straight and an optable slight draw for long irons. MAX PLAYABILITY for short and scoring irons! Not only high handicapers benefit from this.. For this price, you cannot find anything better.. Even for a higher price, you still cant find anything better.. 9 iron=150 yard? is that in your dream or what? only tiger can do that with his overdrive swing.. :) Even my best is 135 yard MAX with a overdrive swing.

Customer Service

Very friendly and helpful staffs. Highly recommended. Even had a discussion over equipment! They macgreg staffs are all golf nuts too, just like me.. No one is more helpful!!

These are the best irons I have ever played they are perfect for a high handicapper. I tested out many different sets and I believe that these are the longest and most forgiving. I can not believe what they have done for my game, since purchasing I am at least 10yd longer and my trajectory is much improved. My confidence is at an all time high since buying these clubs. My 2nd round with these clubs broke into the 80’s for the first time. If you are a high handicapper I would give these clubs a try. I should say these clubs are the only reason why my game has improved… lately I have been putting in a lot of time in at the range.

Customer Service

Excellent…. Lost silver caps on the end of the grips within 3 days of my call I received new ones in the mail.

First I have to say Wow! These irons are awesome. I have been playing about 2 years, one a week or every other. I thought improvement was out of the question because of lack of play. Us high HC'ers seem to try about every golf club on the planet that promises to improve our game. I did just that. These are the best! I was playing BB02's and they were OK, just ugly as hell! I then purchased the Mac 1025c with the pro-pel stiff shafts. My HC is dropping, but not enough to play those irons. I figured I would try them since they were so cheap when 455's came out. Wrong! Very abusive on hands with shock unless it was hit directly on the sweet spot. So I finally decided to get these 455's. Today was the first day with them, and I absolutely love them! These clubs are beautiful. I see others talking about the thick topline, so what. When you hit the ball well, they get even prettier. Easier to hit than the BB02's also. Ball jumps off the clubface high, and far. solid at impact, but doesn't leave your hands numb after a sesion at the range, and they're forged too! 3 and 4 iron "easy as pie" to hit. I procrastinated for a while before I decided to get these. I wish I had done it sooner. I have the stock 95 gram stiff shaft, which feels great. Good job, MacGregor!
