I bought the irons based on the reviews on this site. I'd never even hit one before. Best decision I've made on clubs. They are tremendously easy to use. The long irons fly off crisply off the face, the short irons are precise. The feel is very soft from all of the irons. They also impart a good amount of spin that allows for attacking the pins. And on top of all of that, these clubs are the best looking ones you'll find.

I played these over the summer along with Mizuno MP-33's and I can honestly say, after using both, I liked the Macgregors more. I had them fitted with Rifle 6 shafts and found the musclebacks easier to use than the longer irons. Accurate and they cut through the rough. They are a bargain on Ebay now around $300 new. Great hitting and lovely clubs.

Great feel, soft touch and amazing looks. Even my wife likes them. Have them with 5.0 Flighted Rifle shafts +1' and an oversize grip, works excellent for me. A little ecpensive, but well worth the money (but hey, I live next to the north pole!:). I'll just skip a few nights out with the boys and the clubs are covered.. Love them. Buy them. Now.

My previous set were I3 O-Size (JZ stiff. I wanted irons that are a little more rewarding when hit pure. The MacGregors deliver in this regard. Although about equally forgiving as the Pings they offer a much softer feel when struck somehere at or around the sweet spot. Needless to say these irons are absolutely gorgeous - the cavity backs (3-6) and of course the musclebacks (7-PW). Design is always a matter of taste, but for this price you get irons that are also very well designed and manufactured, easy to hit, plus they come with great shafts (Tour Flighted Rifle) at no extra cost. Way to go MacGregor!

Customer Service

Discount Dan and MacGregor both handled the custom order perfectly, I even got my initials engraved at no extra cost.

Been looking for a club thats fits all of my expectations. Have gone through them all over the last few years, Titleist, Hogan, Cobra, Callaway. Went to the Golf World Hall of Fame in St. Augustine. Had my swing analyzed and tested quite a few irons on the range with a professional. Tried Taylor made, Cleveland, etc... all of the top brands. I finally had a chance to hit the Macgregor, tough to find in the pro shops. All I can say is that I found my clubs. Ordered mine with the rifle 5.5 shafts. What a combination. Never been so accurate as with this combination. These clubs "make" you practice timing and tempo. Game has come right. As much as I have hit them at the range, they still look like new, a testimony to the forging and plating process that they use. You read all the advertising that these manufactures use. This is the first time that everything that Macgregor has posted is true, at least in my situation. Great clubs !!

Customer Service

Talked to them once. Excellent and professional response.

WOW!!!!! These are the sweetest irons I have ever played. Remind me of my old Staff Progressives, but much softer and forgiving. Just switched from MP-30's that were great clubs. The Mizuno's did not have enough forgiveness in the longer irons. The Mac's are just as soft and I feel more accurate in the shorter irons. This is probably greatly contributed to the Flighted Rifle shafts. Easy to get height in the long irons and dead on in the scoring clubs. If you are looking at a set of forgiving forged clubs, try these before buying. I was hesistant on buying MacGregors since they have not been around much lately. They have done this one right!

I did a lot of testing before buying these. I really like the feel of forged irons and tried the Nike Combos, Hogan and Titliest. I love the looks of the Mac's, the thin topline on the muscle backs really help me in chipping and bump and runs. The cavity backs are very easy to hit and they are long. I thought I might not be good enough for the muscle backs but they are forgiving and quite long when struck well. They allow me to hit knock downs and punches better than my old cavity backs. The center of gravity is moved up in the short irons to help lower ball flight and eliminate ballooning. I went with Rifle 6.0 shafts which may be a bit too stiff for me but they help me eliminate hooks and miimize draws. These are hands down the prettiest clubs I've seen and the free ingraving of your initials on each iron is a nice touch.

Customer Service

Talked to them several times about the shafts and they were very informative. Warranty was packed in a separate tube inside the club box, serial # stamped on each club.

Great sticks, have them with the Rifle 5.0 and these clubs look beautiful and perform great. Forged clubs are a thing of beauty when hit properly. The new MacGregors are probably the most under rated equipment these days so you can get them at a great price. The blades (PW-&) are beautiful and great around the greens as well, the long irons (6-3) are the easiest long irons I've ever played.

Customer Service

Great, sent them back to be customized (2 degreees strong and 2 degrees flat) - got them back in 2 weeks - no charge.

These are fantastic...I have tried all forgings and a few cast models(callaway,Titleiest) some forgings are soft some are very harsh..even when hit on the button....the 1025CM are very soft excellent workabiltiy and longer than expected. I have them with the TTS300 Anyone looking for a great set of forged irons should really give these a shot... And they look very nice in the bag... What is amazing is how many manufactures use the same type of steel(1025) same shafts....but the feel and performance between them is night and day...these are a keeper...

Customer Service

Have not had to use them....although I have seen some very negative comments on this forum...

First of all, let me say that if you are considering buying these clubs, get them custom made to your specs. I shopped around and found a pro shop who would get me a brand new custom ordered set for $625.00. And as a little bonus, when custom ordered, MacGregor will CNC engrave your initials on the back of clubs. Customized and personalized for only a few dollars more than you would pay for a new set on EBAY. And, I had my clubs in exactly 7 days after I placed the order. Incredible turn around time. About the clubs. Keep in mind I am a low 80's shooter, who can occasionally go into the mid 70's. I have played and tried many different clubs. These are one of the best I've hit. I upgraded to the Dynamic Gold w/ Sensicore shaft. They are solid. And much to my amazement, the blades are as easy to hit as the cavity backs. The feel is superb. The distance is long and consistent. Forgiveness is excellent. And the playability is outstanding, being able to manufacture all the shots. I can't say enough right now about how good these clubs are. Now to mention the fact that the quality is outstanding, and they are just plain beautiful to look at. Again, custom order to your specs. Hit different shafts and get the one that fits your swing. Then enjoy hitting a really nice golf club.

Customer Service

Outstanding!!! Had my clubs in exactly 7 days.
