Shoots in the 80s
Model Reviewed: Macgregor 1025C 3 - PW

I had been playing with a set of Hogan Apex (1977 shiny back model) since I bought them new. My scores have gone from mid 70’s to mid 80’s. I was looking for a more forgiving set of irons. I looked at most of the leading brands (Taylor, Callaway, Ping, etc.) but I couldn’t find one that looked right when I addressed the ball. I picked up the Macgregor and from the minute I gripped it, it just felt right. This is a solid set of irons. I am not back in the 70’s yet, but I am closer that I was a month ago. I know that Macgregor is not one of the “hot” brands today, but you really ought to consider these clubs. They are a great set of irons. The fit and finish are excellent.
