Quite simply one of the best sets of irons ever made....Get yourself a 2 iron and hit a hundred balls a week with it, you will get better believe me. Anyone who thinks cast clubs actually help are slightly mad, look at the part of the club you actually hit the ball with, its the same as a blade and the thickness of the steel is not thin enough for the back of the club to have any effect whatsoever apart from actually reduce feel, and thats what mp 37's are all about the best in feel and shotmaking full stop.

Bought my set 4 years ago. Use 6.0 Rifle Shafts that are 1.5" longer. Did this to flatten out my swing and it did the trick. Would recommend for the higher handicapper with the understanding that they will have to practice / play more often. These blades allow you to shape the ball flight and control distance better than a cavity back or cast head. Prior to purchase, I did take the time to take a look at the other clubs available and decided on Mizuno. 2-SW in what I have. Very pleased 4 cap.

Thanks,

Tom

Even though I shoot in the 90's, these clubs have help me. Like any blade, they are not very forgiving. But on the flip side, these clubs have improved my game with great feed back (good and bad). I have improved my ball striking skills because I have to focus on the impact with the ball and iron more. Blades are not a scary as people make them and I feel they are a great teaching tool. When my iron shots are on, you can't beat the feel and responsiveness. I prefer less control and more feel because I think blades can make me a better player. Mizuno forged irons are great in feel and I recommend these clubs if you have the comfort with blades.

Everyone's take on these irons is quite accurate. For the high handicappers who put in the time to practice with these irons, they're correct in that the irons "help" them by forcing them to concentrate on clean ballstriking. Of course, for the guys who shoot scratch and into the low 80's, a good repeatable swing will get you good results with these irons with great feedback and distance control.

I've had my set for about 2 weeks now and I've taken the time to practice 4 days a week with them so that I can at least take the 8-pw clubs to the course and use them. When you make solid contact with these irons, they will go where you want them to go: draw, fade or straight. You take a bad swing and the club will let you know that your swing sucked for a moment.

All in all, great irons. Just set aside plenty of practice time and repeat your best swing.

I am a 15 year old, 12 handicapper lookin to become a pro in 3 yrs(roughly. People have said these are too difficult for 10+ handicappers and some said it is just fine...! TO BE HONEST I agree both!
I have tried these irons with TT DG R300 and absolutely loved everything about it! Distance, Trajectory, Feel!!
It felt better than my Callway x12(which by the way are awesome) and delivered straighter shots without sacrificing distance!! So I bought the set online But I have bought the one with DGS300!!!!
This was a mistake!! NOW i Felt that the mp37's are for the players and took 3 months to settle into it!!!!
So Like I have said...I agree to both sides!! It can suit the players and people between 12-20 handicappers...It only matters the shaft that is fitted into it!!
so BUY these you would not regret it BUT choose the shaft correctly and thoroughly that matches your game or you will be punished for the choice!!
To conclude Mizuno has done a very good job on the mp37's!!
BY THE WAY they felt a lot maneuverable and controllable than the mp67's and the mp32's!!
THE END...

I average 87 and have had Cobra FP irons for some time.Got a used set from a large retailer this week to try out of interest and shot a 79. These are easy to hit and even a slight miss was not punished and I found them to be more accurate than my custom fit Cobras. These will be with me for a long time.

Not too sure why there are so many 80s and 90s shooters saying that they have no problem playing these irons. It could be that they shoot 95 because of a poor short game, but make no mistake about it: these are player's irons. I'd say it's a safe bet that if you're not a low handicap player with a fair amount of practice time available to you, then you're making this game harder than it needs to be by playing any blade.

Many PGA tour pros don't even use blades like this because they are very punishing on off-center hits. The feel, however, is extraordinary and will help you to improve your ball striking. The catch is you must have a reasonably sound and repeatable golf swing if you want these irons to help you.

If you need help hitting the center, go with a big old iron head and leave the player's blades to the players. Leave the macho at home, you'll enjoy the game and shoot lower scores.

These clubs are only for 2 to 8 handicaps? What a bunch of hooey. I was a once-a-year golfer for 25 years that shot 120. I purchased the MP-37 irons five years ago and used them once in that time. A month ago I started taking lessons and practiced 3 hours/day. Now I shoot in the 80's and I still can't drive well. My iron and wedge play keep me in play.

These irons are absolutely appropriate for even the serious beginner who wants to learn how to CORRECTLY swing the club and strike the ball. The MP-37's punish bad shots by sending a jolting and sometimes painful vibration from the shaft through your hands and arms.

Cavity back (forgiving) clubs are a marketer's dream - they do nothing to encourage or reinforce a proper golf swing. All swings with these clubs, outside-in, inside out with the blade closed or open, are rewarded with the same dull thud.

However, a well struck MP-37 is as life affirming as a defibrillator paddle is to a senior undergoing myocardial infarction.

Sure, I endured the sneers of the golf snobs when I stood on the range spraying and grounding shots with my pro player MP-37's. But they don't laugh anymore (except when I drive).

After I left my golf lessons it was just me and the 37's at the range. And when you aren't hitting them right, you'll get the feedback. This forced me to up my game by focusing on swing dynamics, balance and smoothness. The rest is history.

I love drilling my 3 iron straight down the middle. The feel of the Mizuno blade is just incredible. When I pick up someone's cavity back club and swing it, well, it's kind of like wearing a condom.

From 120 to the 80's. Choosing the right equipment was an integral part of learning the swing. And of course, lessons and tons of practice go a long ways.

The clubs are not for high handicappers. If you shoot low eighties and lower these babies will be just fine. First blade set for me, I got them used for only 200 and they are the best golfing buy I have ever made. Mizuno is famous for great irons and these fit those high standerds.
