I have played Mizuno's for the past 12 years and recently I've played the MP 57's the last two seasons. The 57's are a great club for good players. If you are a 9 to 14 with a day job they can be a bit of a challenge, especially in the mid to longer irons. The 52's are a great compromise for the golfer that wants the look, feedback, and feel of a forging but needs a little more forgiveness in the mid and long irons. I also think that the consistency in ball striking might be better, but this is probably due to the increased forgiveness of the 52's which I personally need.

Customer Service

I think Mizuno is one of the best.

I've recently switched from the Titleist AP1 to the Mizuno MP52, Rifle Project X 5.0, I've played Hogans, titleist, Ping you name it I've played them all. But the looks and feel of the Mizuno forgings are the best.I've played a few rounds with them and then had the lofts and lies adjusted, I'll post again after a couple more rounds. WhatI must say about the 52'2 Is that they are the best feeling irons I have ever hit, yes you do have to have e decent swing (9.5 index)but a mid handicaper could play these. And the looks WoW..... Never seen a nicer iron. I'll post again in a few weeks to update on the progress. What a great club from Mizuno (again).

Customer Service

Have not had to use them besides the specification chart on lofts and lie angls

Have dithered around for a while unable to make my mind up about changing from my mx23's. which I love but have been stagnating at hdcp13 so had a go with some on a demo day. WOW felt unbeleivably crisp and as a previous reviewer said the height of shot was incredible. Even the longer irons 3 and 4 felt that they were a part of me and not a lump of metal. had the clubs only 3 weeks and have already shaved 2 shots from my hdcp. Would recomend these clubs to anybody. They are sweeeeet

I've read lots of these hyperbolic user reviews. Now I'm writing one.

I've played nothing but cast clubs since my beloved Ping Karstens. I bought into the presumption that cast clubs are easier to hit and we should embrace technology.

Then I hit the MP52's. Pick your blurt - OMG, Holy Bleep, Did I Really Just Hit That Ball That High, That Far Again, whatever.

These things rock. Ball flight on full shots is consistent with my latest SGI set (Nike OSS Slingshot), but no ballooned misses. Knockdowns are boring (that was a positive statement). The feel coming off the club is awesome - to get that degree of feedback, plus forgiveness and playability is a remarkable combo.

Did I say that these things rock?

The MP-52s are my first set of Mizuno irons. Previously, I had Bridgestone J36 (forged) and Taylormade RAC LTs. Both of these sets are great, but I was just not 100-percent satistfied. I was just looking for something different.

I've read most of the reviews ... so I do not want to be too redundant, because I agree with much of what has been posted.

In short, the MP-52s are the best club that I have ever hit. Period. They are beutiful, inspire confidence at address, and provide crisp and excellent feedback.

If you looking for a new set of irons, I would seriously consider giving them a try.

Customer Service

No need yet ... but it took only a week to have them custom fitted and delivered.

After much testing I picked up a set of MP-52 with TT DG SL300s - standard length and lie. Transitioning from Callaway X-20 Tours, I was looking for a club with more feel that would allow me to work the ball a bit better. I had a hard time moving the ball with the X-20 Tours without making what felt like big swing changes. Also wanted to get back to a forged iron since I replaced my Titleist 690 CBs with the X-20 tours a season ago.

Very happy with the MP-52/SL300 combo - distance is pretty much the same iron for iron with the X-20s but my consistancy and ability to work the ball is far better. Nothing feels forced when trying to draw or fade it.

Perhaps some of this is a change from PX 6.0 to SL300 but these clubs feel fantastic and there is no let down in performance.

Also, I have to add I've never played Mizzies before but I'm a convert now. These forgings really are pretty fantastic and feeling I got from the Titleist 690 CB pale in comparison.

I had got down to around 14 with my Wilson Di-7 irons and felt perhaps I could take things to the next step and looked into some forged irons. I went to World of Golf in New Malden where I could actually hit the irons on a driving range as opposed to a big net in American Golf etc...

I've played only 3 rounds so far but the clubs are fantastic. The feel you get from them is hard to describe but I certainly won't be going back to the Wilsons.

I definetly feel single figures are only round the corner now, happy days!

Customer Service

World of Golf at New Malden were excellent, quick delivery.

After 2 seasons of playing with Ping i5 irons I felt my game had stagnated and I wanted to move back into a forged iron. I played MP-60 irons before I switched to the Pings. MP-60s are great irons but I needed a little more forgiveness on the middle and long irons.

The MP-52s are the compromise I was looking for. The small channels on the middle and long irons are not noticeable at address and give me just the bit of help I need. The feel is back along with the fun...plus I'm breaking 80 regularly.
If you're a mid-handicapper with a decent iron game and looking to go to the next level, check these out at a demo day. You just might surprise yourself.

I bought the MP52s with Project X 6.0 shafts after playing the MP30s for years. The MP52s play very similar to the MP30s but are much more forgiving on off-center hits. Purely struck shots with these irons are such a pleasure watch.

My suggestion is to make sure you get fitted by an authorized Mizuno dealer before purchasing these irons. If you can afford to spend the money for the clubs then you can afford the extra $20 for the fitting.

Customer Service

I purchased these clubs through a direct dealer and the factory turn-around was 3 days to get the clubs to the dealer. Two days later I was swinging them on the course.
