I've had these irons for a about a year now and I love them. I hate them too though. I love the feel and the feedback from a well struck shot. Anything high on the face and you know immediately watching a ball ballooning and going nowhere.

A beautiful club to use if your swing and contact are repeatable. The flight and control of the ball is excellent. There is no forgiveness in the head though anything off center and you will know about it.

Well you'd probably laught like the pro at the pro shop who i had told what equipment i was playing and having a handicap of 26. Meaning i was shooting in the low hundred's. To start i bought the TM Burner II iron set in 2010 seeing how i really needed game improvement clubs. Well as to no suprise my shots were everywhere and i couldn't controll it and i was angry with myself for not knowing how to correct my swings. I have had these clubs for 2 years now and still no improvement. It wasn't until i was just messin' around at another golfshop that stumbled over a set of old Mizuno T- zoid pro II for $60. I couldn't pass that up cause they looked really nice. And this happened about 3 months ago and after a month of playing with the T-zoid I knew exactly what was wrong with my swings. It was then that i knew i had to get rid of the omen, Burner 2 irons. I sold it on ebay for 300 bucks, and man was i so glad they were gone. Anyways, back to the Mizuno, i had improved so much with the T-zoid that i knew i had to try the lastest blades from mizuno seeing how the MP 69 still cost a bundle more that i decided to save a few hundreds on the last year's model, the MP 68 i dont know why but the 68 just sounds better than the 69 unless it had to do with sex. Haha...
Anyway, i bought a used set of MP 68 these blades are just out right goregous and i liked the buttery feel on my T-zoid pro II's but i love the even better butteryness of the MP 68's. And my handicap is getting lower and lower by weeks. I just wanted to say to the people who laughted at me for shooting in the 100's area and wanting to use blades to improve my games. Buddies you can keep your cavity backs and your game improvement clubs. Lol
Within 3 months of the switchs i have cut 10 or more strokes on my handicap. I shot a 91 a couple days ago and i can't wait til next weekend to take it below 90...??
Do i recomend the Mizuno MP 68? Wouldnt you?

Customer Service

Never needed them

I dont think anything else can give you that buttery feel like the Mizuno Blades.
I have hit some other blades; Titleist, Cleveland, Wilson, Ping. But most if not all these have a dull feel.

I am extremely disappointed with Mizuno and they do not provide a complete line of left hand clubs. So I am off to Titleist which are better clubs anyway

Customer Service

Terrible they don't give a hoot.

I went from MP-30´s to the MP-68´s with one intention, to at least look good when playing badly. However, I cannot say that I play any differently with the MP-68 compared with the MP-30´s. I play the same shots, and when I miss, the miss would likely be the same with any club, forgiving or not. So, I would be quite sure to say that the saying that you cannot hit a blade if you have a hcp over 5 is so not true.
For me it is very educating and I feel that I get a more and more stabil hit, and my high score has nothing to do with the fact that I have blades. Did I say I just love them?

Model Reviewed: Mizuno MP 68's

Before purchasing these irons, I was playing Nike Ignite with huge cavities and shooting upper 70's low 80's very consistently. I was hitting them super clean, barely ever taking a divot (because too much earth would stop the Ignites dead) with a surprisingly high launch angle but never gained any distance or workability, even when changing my swing styles.

I came across the MP 68's last November and the guy gave me an offer I simply couldn't refuse: 20% off the $899 retail if I also purchased a Wedge (also 20% off). The deal was perfect because I wanted to purchase a 52 degree Cleveland to accompany the 56 I had. I ended up paying under $800 total.

I knew it wasn't going to be an easy transition to blades, especially blades of this caliber. It actually was quite hilarious how badly I muffed some of these shots.

I went to the range a couple times and started hitting down on the ball to the point that it felt exaggerated but it started working. I began to take nicer divots, which I was not used to at all with the Nike Ignites. I finally started getting the ball back off the ground with a minimal loss of distance at first.

After 3 months of playing with them, I can't believe some of these shots I'm hitting. I tend to be a little inconsistent still but mostly because I underestimate my distance! I never expected to be hitting 170yd 7 irons that cut through the wind like a laser (I play Appalachian golf so the wind is brutal at times). Once you start hitting these clubs the way they should be hit, you can feel and hear it...and it's beautiful.

If you're at the point that you may be moving to Blades, take your time and try out all of them before making a huge investment. Like I said, I got lucky with the pricing and even luckier that I picked the right clubs for me. Overall, the Mizuno MP68's are wonderful clubs. Simple yet sleek looking (if you really care about that) and so well balanced. You'll need to swing them a lot though because the heads are a little heavier than expected.

Either way, consider the Mizuno's and have some fun again... It's like I was brought back to my early days of Golf and had to figure it all out again! It was awesome, if you're into that kind of thing.

I think I might have bought my last set at least till these wear out. Great look at address. love thin topline and clean looks and the feel as you would expect from almost any Mizuno forging is awesome. Soft yet solid. I have true temper with sensicore to take some of the harshness out of mis hits but still enough to know where I hit it. The ball flight is alittle high which I like. Head shape is perfect IMO. Compared to previous mizuno blade it is slightly longer and higher toe. Ive carried mp 29,32,33,37 and 52 which are all great sets but this set trumps them all. You dont have to be a stratch golfer but I do believe you have to have some level of consistency to play these to there full potential. I would say 15 or less handicap wise. Obviously you are not buying these for forgiveness or distance but more for control feel and consistency. If you put a good swing on it they will deliver

As a young boy learning to play I only ever had access to blades, but as I got older, the people in the know all told me blades were "dead" not for mortals..so I moved on to Pings, Callaways, you name it, I tried it...Recently I bought some Callaways X forged 09s...great club..even managed to win a club "major" with them, but I still yearned for the blades of old..they just look awesome....hence when a swap deal was offered for my X forged for a set of Cally prototype X's I took the deal...and WOW....the feel was incredible...and only this week I managed to find the trade of the century...basically a well used set of X protos for a brand new set of Mizuno MP68s..as they are bringing out MP69s....played 2 1/2 rds with them...shot lowest scores ever!! off 11 and played to 8 both times...they are in one word..AWESOME.....

MP68 irons are very impressive. I just completed a demo of several Mizuno irons. All of them were 6 irons and brought along my DCI 6 iron as well. I almost passed on bringing the blade because I thought I would not be able to hit it. At the last minute I grabbed the MP68 blade and brought it along. To my surprise I hit the MP68 the best out of the bunch including my own iron. The feel is awesome. Smooth as butter. I love the ease to shape shots... draw, straight, fade. I like the feedback from off center hits. Very nice irons. I bought a set this afternoon and am anxious to take them to the coarse. Try these irons if you are considering a set of new irons. Do not let the blade design intimindate you... try it.
