Arguably, the finest blade available. The Japanese managed to carve out a sensational, forged club that out performs anything I have tested. Worth the investment for the low handicapper that is interested in shaping shots for precision and accuracy!

these irons have the feel and workability that i need to improve my game they are certainly a step up from my old cavity back nike sumo SQ irons. i am 17 and i recently got 2nd place in 1A state golf so i decided i needed a better set of irons i could improve with. with my new MP 68's i hope to win more tournaments with. to buy these clubs you need to be a good ball striker. the reason i shoot in the 80's is because of my putting which sucks. MP 68's have a really good feel and i reccomend buying them on EBAY i saved about $320 in doing so.

i am sixteen years old. so when buying a set of irons i, in my teenager, ways wanted the best of the best, so i obviously to an appeal to muscle back irons. i tried numerous irons, going to demos Etc. i had my eye on titleist, because that is were you go first if you want good quality product, but i dug deeper and found mizuno, only to finding the nicest blades i have ever hit, if you are new to muscle back irons, and do not believe in your self, don't, i was the same way, bought to find that these are the most forgiving irons and the best irons one could buy.

I took possesion of the irons having used mp30's for the past 6 years. The clubs are made to measure (as they all should be) and fit perfectly. They are pleasing to the eye as well as being very functional, they cut through the turf far better than the mp30's ever did with total control and superb feel. Great quality, simply superb kit.

Customer Service

Direct golf in Cambridge take really good care of you and ensure you have the correct fitting, loft/lie/shaft right down to the thickness of the grips and type. Mizuno then make them to the agreed spec.

I ordered both sets of MP58's and MP68's to replace my old split set of MP57's and MP67's. All I have to say is the new irons are very nice. I do not think the MP58's have the true Mizuno blade feel considering they have a Cavity. They are a little clicky. Granted, they are a little more forgiving then the 68's. All in all they are not that much of an improvement over the old set I had. They all feel really good. I have Project X 6.0's in all my clubs.

Hands down the best blade out there. Miss hits are not as bad with these compared to the MP-14s I had. They go a long way's, and you can work the ball anyway you want to if your a skilled golfer. I deffinently recommend these for the experienced golfers who enjoy drawing and fading the ball on command.

Moved up to the mp-68's having played with the mp-60's for three years. The shafts are Aerotech steelfiber i95 (stiff)and are "pured"; with Golf Pride New Decade "mid-side grips. I was amazed by the difference from the 60's.

I loved the MP-60's. I also tried the MP-58's (blind)and found the 68's just better in the feel category. The 58's were a little too dead for me. Both have a nice thin topline which makes a "blind" test easy to accomplish.

Like many, it is just too easy to hit a great shot in a cage with all of the monitors working. I went to Florida last week (2/17-21) in a yearly event with great golfers and finally won some money. Distance on the new sticks is difficult to gauge because a good swing and a great swing yield 2 different distances. 8-10 yards.

Bad shots are still bad (off-line) but because the ball does not go as far, you are still in play and able to recover. I also belive that with more practice, I will hit these further that the 60's.

I used to hit my MP-60's PW about 130-135 yards. I was able to hit the MP-68's PW 135 to 140 (sometimes into the wind.)

If you are able to get a demo, take it onto the course before you buy a set. My partner is a scratch golfer and could not contain himself with the clubs but did tell me that they would be difficult to hit out of the rough because the heel is so thin. I live in NJ and have not played them in our rough but had little trouble in Florida. (Islesworth and Lake Nona.)

The only downside is that you need to have the lie adjusted correctly on each and every club! These were a great step up for me but the 58's which I thought would be my next set are also worth looking at.

Do not believe because you can hit them into the net that that feel will translate out to the course. These are a must play club before you buy a set.

I am 30 years old and have been playing since I was 12. I've been a scratch golfer for 10 years or better. I have played consistantly with Mizuno irons during this time (MP-32 and MP-57... I alternate the sets from time to time). I have tried everything on the market since 1997 and I can tell you with confidence that the MP-68's will be the irons of 2010. They have better feedback from off center shots, and have incredible feel on the pure shots. Mizuno has really outdone themselves. They even surpass the Titleist 710 series of CB and MB irons that are supposed to be all the hype this year. Besides the play, the MP-68's are seriously good looking clubs. Best look of a blade that I've ever seen... need to DEMO a set and see for yourself, but there will be no dissapointments from these irons.

Got fitted for some MP-68 at Golfsmith. Same old results; 1/2" over standard, 2 degrees upright, stiff shaft (Project X 6.5 in this case), custom grips, etc. All order data inputted by the salesman correctly as I verified it twice.

After a couple of weeks wait, eagerly headed to the store to pick them up today. Upon opening the box immediately noticed that the shafts were 5.0 instead of 6.5. Not even close! While waiting for the store manager to return them, I noticed the small print on the box; FORGED IN JAPAN, FINISHED IN CHINA. I take that to mean that the Japs send a blob of forged steel to the Chinese and they do the rest.

Well it was hard enough for me to part with my money for a good quality Japanese product much less a Chinese piece of crap. It ain't happening. Now I'm wondering, if they can screw up something so simple as a shaft selection, what else is screwed up? Loft, lie, length, face, grooves, etc. So I politely handed Golfsmith back their Chinese clubs and asked for a refund.

I will continue to play with my old American made Pings and Ben Hogans that reside in my old American made Hoofer bag. Bring jobs back to America! Refuse to buy outsourced crap. That includes Japan too.

Customer Service

Totally screwed up the shafts. What more can I say?
