Mizuno MX-100 Irons

Mizuno MX-100 Irons

DESCRIPTION

The MX-100 irons with Y-Tune Technology provide super game improvement performance for the mid to high handicap player. Y-Tune Technology successfully expands and extends the sweet area of the clubface out towards the toe to deliver amazing forgiveness on mis-hits. This Y-Tune Technology receives the XL designation because the "oversized" sweet area is carried throughout the set from the easy to launch, maximum distance #4 and #5 hybrid irons, through the extreme pocket cavity mid-irons, down to the highly accurate scoring irons.

Model Reviewed: Mizuno MP-100

I am a Mizuno guy. I have played a number of MP and MX models going back to the MP-14. Mizuno makes great clubs, their quality control is outstanding, and I have never seen a model of theirs that wasn't at least very good. I hesitated trying the MX-100 because they are so inexpensive, but I ended up acquiring a friend's set through a trade with the intent of re-selling them. I tried them out just for fun, and boy what a pleasant surprise. Mine have regular flex Exsar graphite. This is the first set of graphite irons I have hit that have a solid feel and a reasonable trajectory. Many I have tried feel mushy and the ball balloons. Not these! Distance is a little longer than most irons I have played, but the lofts are a degree or two stronger, which explains that. In summary, this is a great set of irons, easy to hit with a mid-high trajectory. I don't believe you could find a better game improvement club at any price.

Customer Service

I have never had to use Mizuno customer service with any of their clubs.
