Model Reviewed: Mizuno Tava Woods

When I was looking to buy new woods I couldn't find very many, if any reviews. So, I am writing one to help others. I just purchased the Tava woods (1,3,5,7). I haven't played with them on the course yet (it's winter) - but I did test them out of the driving range. They seem easy to hit solidly. My first impression was wow these clubs hit them very high. I think that after more practice and playing on a course where I can set my prefered tee height I can hopefully adjust this a little. The ball followed the trajectory I was used to and seemed to get a solid distance. And probably most importantly, the first 10-15 times I swung the driver I hit the ball solidly with out any major slice or hook. I would have prefered if the ball didn't go quite as high - but I guess they are high lofted (driver is a 14 degree) so that's what you get. I look forward to playing with my new woods and I think they were well worth the money I spent. I got a great deal on the clubs (they were demos) shipped for under $200 from The Golf Warehouse.

Customer Service

I bought them online from the golf warehouse. When I first called to inquire about the clubs I got a rep who didn't sound like she had any knowledge about the clubs or golf. But, I called back and had a great rep (Mike) who was very helpful. The clubs arrived very quickly. They had a few more markings then I had hoped for - They were DEMOS. But, nothing that would have stopped me from buying them.

Swung the Nike Sasquatch and Taylormade R5. Nike was too big. Taylormade seemed like too much money in comparison to the Mizunos
