I think I made a big mistake when I sold this set on ebay. The Nickent regular graphite shafts were a dream to hit and these clubs were fantastic to use around the green. I got a dose of "the grass is greener" when checking out some other clubs a couple of years ago and only recently found a set I like about the same. I guess that's part of golf--regretting the good clubs that got away.

I bought these clubs 2 years ago, and have not been pleased with them. My first issue was the quality of manufacturing. The very first time I played with them was at the Resort at Pinehurst, and my first swing of my 4 iron sent the clubhead flying out into the middle of the driving range. Talk about embarassing! Since then, two other clubs have lost the head during play, one of them was lost. I loved the grips the clubs came with, but they wore out in less than one season of not many rounds. I have found a significant loss of distance - at least ten yards on each club. I bought these looking for clubs that would be easier to hit due to my infrequent play at the time, and also because of the price point ($250 at Golfdom). I have not found them to be forgiving on miss hits. Since then I have greatly increased my playing time and decreased my handicap to 18, but not because of these clubs - because of a lot of lessons and time on the range. I am able to shape shots with these clubs, and did shoot a low of 82 with them in Scottsdale last summer. However, because of all the broken clubs, my bag is a mish-mash of Nickents and my 20-year old Spalding clubs. I would not purchase these again.

These irons are the best irons i have played with, Recommended for 45 handicapper to 8 handicap golfers, I got my handicap from 21 to 8 in nine months thanks to these irons, a wise investment. I got Dynanamic gold lite, stiff shaft, 1* upright(Blue dot), I have Winn grips tour wrap excellent grips, I hit these dead straight lose a bit of distance because of the high trajectory, Good workability, draw and fade, not alot of spin on the irons in to the green, I am upgrading these irons for Maxfli A 10 tour limited lucky to get these irons maxfli dont make these clubs any more.

these are truely great clubs for the bad golfer. they are really easy keep the ball in line due to having a lot of offset. they play similar to the 2004 big bertha irons but i don't think that they are knockoff's. i found them for $94 on ebay which was a pretty decent price for a new set of clubs. i still prefer my mizuno mx-17's over these because the zuno's have much more feel but the gh's are more forgiving on mis-hits. i recomend these for any beginner or anyone who doesn't have the time or knowhow to improve.

I bought these clubs approximately 1 1/2 yrs ago. At first I wanted something with a well known brand name just like so many golfers who are lured in by marketing and pr deparments. I could not deny the fact that these clubs were significantly cheaper but felt just as good as any of the name brands irons. These clubs have done well over the last 18 months. They have a resemblence to Mizuno MX 23 iron, especially if you look at the back of the two clubheads. I truly believe that Nickent is not by any means a knock off company but rather a company that doesn't spend all their money on sponsership which is reflected in price but rather on r&d. I have been contemplating buying new clubs to help take my game to another level, yet I just have not found anything that I really feel is worth changing. The offset on these clubs are not as exaggerated as say TM RAC OS and the face is not as big as Cobra 3400, both which I have tried. However the Nickent seems just as forgiving, although I probably carry a bias considering these are the clubs that I've been playing and practicing with. To be honest the only thing that is negative about this club is that once again is not TM, Mizuno, Callaway, Titleist, etc. And that is not a hit to the company, it's just that golf is one of those sports where advertising really reaches it's audience. I will probably try some of their other irons at this point, why drive an Infiniti or Lexus, when I can have the same technology, performance and styling in a Nissan or Toyota without the premium cost. And with the new VP over at nickent, things look like this company will become the Honda of golf. Reliable and affordable.

Got these about a year ago for $100 at Copelands. Discontinued model which Copelant wanted to get rid of. Graphite shaft. Outstanding value, couldn't have gotten a better deal anywhere. A steal! Recommend these clubs for mid to high handicapers. These clubs have an offset which took me awhile to get use to. Hit higher lofted balls than other clubs I tried. I can hit a draw and work the ball. The higher loft and accuracy make up for the slightly less yardage. I tried the Taylor Made Rac OS and found the Nickent hits very similar to the TM. So, for the money, the Nickents were a truly outstanding buy.

Previous clubs were Adams GT Performance. The Adams were a litte less forgiving than the Nickent with smaller club size. I Liked the Taylor Made RAC OS, but Nickent hit essentially the same for a lot less money.
