Mid-quality irons. Much better can be had at similar prices. Would not have even bothered to post this review at all, but someone had to throw in something to offset the sales manager putting up all 5's to pad the stats a little.

Customer Service

None given since I purchased on EBay. Sold them within weeks at a loss.

This is the most solid iron I have hit. I was playing Titleist DCI's and have added 10-15 yards with these new irons. I was looking for some Pings and ended up with these irons instead. They are very solid and you cannot beat the price for what you get.

Customer Service

Excellent. Could have sold me an expensive set of irons. Wanted me to at least try the Nicklaus irons. I'm glad I did.

Let me make this perfectly clear. You do not need iron covers to use these irons. As the General Manager of Pro Golf in Roseville, MI I stand behind this product 100%! Anybody that settles for their salesman stating that iron covers should be used to protect the medallions for the CGX irons is seriously being misled by the salesperson. I am starting my secind season with these irons and I can honostly say these irons out perform the big guys Like Callaeay, Taylor and Ping. Folks, do not waste your hard earned dollars and pay for the advertising for Callaway and Taylor Made!! The CGX irons are every bit as solid and durable as any club on the market. The long irons are very forgiving and the short irons are solid and consistent. Now, back to the medallions. First of all they do serve a purpose for playability. There are not just cosmetic!! Thy are weighted for each club and the weights in the medallios can customized for a player's specific needs. Please see the Nickalus web site on this because most salespeople will not mention this important feature!!! On the durability of the medallions. ALL, yes ALL medallions can dis lodge from the clubs if the clubs are not cared for properly. Callaway, Ping (especially Ping), Titlest and many more major manufacturers come theu my door each and every day with one problem or another and meddalions are not excluded!! The number one reason that medallions dislodge is heat!! Do not store your clubs in your trunk! The trunk should be used for transporting your clubs! Not for storage!!! Heat can cause your epoxy to give way and medallions and clubheads can come loose. Folks, if you are considering these clubs you are on the right track. This is a great iron for a great value. Also, try the Airmax drivers and fairway woods to compliment these irons. You won't be sorry!!!!

Customer Service

Outstanding. Staff is veery knowledgable on Nickalus equipment!!!

After searching for irons for sometime, and trying almost everything, I finally decided on these ones. Very forgiving, easy to hit, easy to work the ball. Very satisfied with the performance of these irons. But, after playing about 8 rounds, the wieghts (or medallians), started to fall out of the clubs! The 5 and 7 iron wieghts were gone, and a couple of the others were falling out. But, Nicklaus did replace the whole set. No problems with the new set.

Customer Service

Excellent, as soon as I had the problem, Nicklaus replaced the whole set, no questions asked.

Please take this matter into consideration when purchasing these clubs. Having read through the previous reviews on these clubs, i fully agree with the clubs playability. however, there is one drawback that i have experienced. i noticed that the medallions on my clubs were dented. Later, i found that the medallion on my 8 iron was protruding from its position. after some investigation i discovered that this was caused by the clubs knocking against each other. i took the clubs to the shop to query this. The conclusion was that I was at fault for not protecting my clubs with covers (no-one told me this when I purchased the clubs). while i understand the cause, surely use of covers is optional. the conclusion we came to was that these clubs must be covered, if not the medallions will be damaged. i tried to play a round with this in mind, but found it extremely frustrating. after ever shot the clubs must be wet wiped, then wiped dry, then covered, then placed in your bag, before you can advance. imagine doing this 60 times in a round! had i been informed of this condition, i will not have purchased these clubs. my intention was to purchase a good set of clubs, that will last me a few good years. these clubs are good, but whether they will last me a long time is questionable. even with covers, i cannot help to think what would happen if i have to play my sand wedge and hit a stone in a bunker! Please take this matter into consideration when purchasing these clubs.

Customer Service

the staff that assisted me with this query was good. however, i should have been told about the mandatory use of covers.

These are the best set of irons I've ever played. They have a traditional setup and only appear "mid size", yet they are more forgiving than most "oversize" irons. The long irons are as easy to hit as the short, and the short irons have a great feel to them. Nicklaus clubs are not a "popular" brand and are a little difficult to find. But I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a new set of sticks.

When I went looking for new irons, the salesman suggested I hit the CGX's, and the Clevlands TA5. I liked both, but the CGX just felt better in my hands. I have been hitting them for about 3 months now, and I'm very happy with my choice. For the first time in years, I am able to hit my irons straight with consistancy, and I have lowered my score by 5 strokes at the least. The sensacore shaft feels great and I feel very little vibration on impact. I have still not mastered the long irons, but everything 6 and under play great. I even bought the Nicholas Sand Wedge 56 degree. I lighly recommend these irons to anyone looking for a great club at a fair price.

Customer Service

Havn't needed any so far.

It took me awhile to get use to them but when I did these clubs feel great the new crank shafts are the best I have played with. I tried the cleveland TA7 Ping I3 and these irons and all 3 were close but cleveland were $100 more and Ping were $200 more, all 3 were about same accuracy but nicklaus hit a bit further then the other 2 so I went with them. Give them a try they are better than the Air bears and just as good if not better than the VCG's the best bang for the buck right now!!

The feel of these clubs is absolutely tremendous. I demo'd the Pings, Titleist, and Taylor made cavity backs. Not being a tremendously good golfer, I was looking for a club that was forgiving, had good weight distribution, and a generous sweet spot. Without a doubt, the Nicklaus CGX clubs were the answer. These clubs retail for $600. After the experience I have had the last 5 outings. I would say that is a still good value despite the deal I worked out for a lower price.
