my first "new" set of clubs. much improvement on my iron confidence. only complaint- the hybrids are sort of femme. i've played with 3 friends and each one independently asked if they are ladies clubs, or if i'm gay. but they hit pretty damn well.

Customer Service

nike CPR's 18* and 24* woods with 5-pw steel shafted irons. well I have not hit steel shafted clubs for over twenty years, and today I asked myself .. why?. I just got these yesterday and decided to play this am.I have played all the big named clubs in the past and I will rate these as good as anything this old guy has ever hit. just found the irons real easy to line up and hit crisply but I am going to have to retune my club and distance selections. found the 5 and 6 irons to be 1/2 a club longer then my old k/c 11's(180 to 195) the pw about the same (90-120 yds)but the 7,8 and 9 irons just messed me up .I always hit a 7iron 145 max but this am sitting at the 150 marker so I took a smooth swing and watched in awe as I flew the green in the air and then left myself a 35 yard chip back. but all in all a real nice set of sticks that i will keep in the bag for a long time.

Model Reviewed: NIke CPR irons 5-PW

I'm 21 and have been playing since I was 15. I had been playing some Console Titanium irons that I bought at an auction for $50 until recently when I picked up this nike set off eBay. There was an instant improvment in my game. I'm not sure how old the Console Irons are but they were very hard to hit. I played one round of golf with them this summer and shot a 113. My next time out with the Nikes I shot a 94. at the time I had the Nikes on order I found a set of Ram ZX Tour full club set with bag at a garage sale pretty cheap, and since I needed a new bag anyway I bought them. I took those out with the Nikes to compare the two. The thing I liked with the Nike irons compared to both my other sets was how effortlessly it was to hit the ball long and straight. I really struggled with the Console irons and while the Rams were nice they just were not as comfortable as the Nikes. I am hitting the ball about 25 yards farther than I did and but my consistancy has improved greatly. I have played 5 rounds since getting the Nikes and consistantly shot in the 90s, something I have never done in the 6 years I have been playing. Plus I think they look cool too. I hope to get into the 80s soon. There are lots of great clubs out there but for the money these are great clubs.

AWESOME SET OF CLUBS. GREAT FOR THE MID TO HIGH HANDICAPPER. I JUST HAVE THE 5-PW SET. I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW CONSISTANT MY PLAY HAS BECOME. EVEN EASIER TO HIT THAN THE TOMMY ARMOUR 845U IRONS, WHICH ARE ALSO A WONDERFUL SET OF IRONS.

AWESOME. New golfer and this is my first real set of clubs. I was on the course two hours after I bought them, and shot my career best. Hybrids give punched flat trajectory, and irons get up easy and hit straight and long. Great set for a newbie.

THIS PRODUCT IS GREAT, I BOUGHT IT OFF EBAY AND USED IT FOR THE FIRST TIME LAST WEEKEND, THE ONLY PROBLEM OR COMPLAINT I HAVE WAS I WAS HITTING THEM TO FAR, WHERE I WOULD NORMALLY HIT A 5 IRON I WAS HITTING A SEVEN IRON, BALL GOT UP IN THE AIR EASILY AND LANDED SOFTLY I WOULD SUGGEST TO ANYONE WITH A HIGH TO MID HANDICAP TO BUY THESE IRONS ASAP.

This is my second set of clubs ever - I have been using a cheap set of Wilsons for the last 12 years. Picked up a set of mixed CPR clubs off Ebay for a good price. The first thing I noticed was that the length of the shafts on the irons are 1/2" to 1-1/2" less than my Wilsons, so I need to adjust my setup. The utility woods are considerably shorter than my old 3W and 5W, so hitting them solid was a challenge until I figured out my stance and swing. Once I was able to hit the utility woods cleanly I was able to hit about 230 with the 22 degree and about 210 with the 26 degree. I'm now hitting my irons about 170 with my 5I to about 110 with my wedge - not long, to be sure, but I've never been a real long hitter. I'd say I'm hitting the CPR irons about 10 yds further than my Wilsons, but my consistency and control has improved immensely. I used to hit about 40% with my 3I and 4I, up to about 80% with my 9I and PW. In the two rounds that I've played since I bought the CPRs, I've made 15 of the 21 shots I've attempted with the utility woods. I've been hitting my irons about 67% with the 5I to around 90% with the PW. The one big improvement has been my chipping, especially out of longer grass - the weighting of the wedge seems to lend itself very well to chipping. So in conclusion I'd have to say that I from what I've experienced so far, these clubs are night and day difference from my Wilsons, and I can only get better with them. I'm now confident that I can make the majority of my shots, and I now know that I can come off the fairway with confidence. I'd be very surprised if I didn't break 90 sometime in my next three or four rounds.

Very easy to hit the cavity back irons. They fly high and far. I had trouble at first hitting the hybrid woods. The shafts were a little bit too flimsy for my swing speed. Once I got used the woods I used the 22* often. However I found that I could hit my 5-iron better and just as far as the 26*. I like the set, but the 26* is a waste. I traded it in and got a 19* Taylormade to finish the set. Also, if you have a decent swing, the pitching wedge can easily carry 100 yards, so be sure to pick up a nice gap/sand wedge for anything under 80 yards. This set is also difficult to draw or fade, so this is definitely for rookies. Overall a good set, but if you are agressively trying to improve you will want a more workable set after about a year. Great for someone who plays less than 15 rounds a year.

I have just played my first game with Nike CPR set. I am a beginner with about 117 holes under my belt. I am averaging 54 on 9 holes. Even with a sore back from to much golf...lol...I scored a 50 and shot my first birdie and finished the 9th hole with par. Do I like these clubs???? Apart from a really quality construction and incredible feel, the shots go straight and high, with all clubs. The 22 degree and 26 are amazing off a tee or out of the rough. Excellent choice of weapons to get a rookie through the frustrations of learning the game. Love ththis set and am not worried any more about the hole in my pocket!!!

Flirting with the 90's. Haven't used the full CPR set, but the CPR Woods are great. I have the 30 degree and it hits the ball high and straight. Anyone who has doubts hasn't used this club on the course.
