Purchased the G10's after an extensive search. This is my 1st year of a lot of golf (25 rounds, I usually play only 5) and I am hooked. The G10's have a great balanced feel, sit awesomely at address, and make my good shots fly. I shot 90 and 91 last week sandwiched between my more usual 105 (I was golfing in Texas). I feel these clubs have shaved at least 5 strokes off my game. The short irons are brilliant and I can mother the 5 iron 190 yards. Loving them!!! My favourite irons in the pack by far.

Solid irons. I do not like them as well as my MP-60's, but they are still a good club. Distance is good, but the feel is not as soft as mizunos.

Excellent set of irons. nicely weighted clubs that are very forgiving on those slight mis-hits. Seems to help get the ball up in the air easily. Wide soles, soft feel, with varying offset( more offset in the longer irons less in the short irons). look good at address top line is not too thick, durable good finish too on club heads( no glare of the sun). I bought the 5iron through to sand wedge and have just purchased the G10 24degree hybrid instead of the 3 and 4 irons. These have improved the consistancy of my shots and hope will improve my handicap with time. All in all very happy great value clubs. Give them a try.

Having played with the G5's since they were introduced, I couldn't have been more pleased with the clubs. However, out of curiosity, I went to a Ping Demo Day in Greensboro Nc and hit both the new G10 and I10. Both were amazing. However, I really liked the size and feel of the I10's and ended up purchasing them. The clubs arrived in exactly one week. And, they are EVERYTHING I thought they would be....sweet feel, very forgiving. In fact, after two rounds with them, I don't think they are that far behind the G5 in forgiveness....and they are even more accurate. I've picked up a little more distance with the I10's and they definitely throw "darts" at the flagstick. Simply amazing clubs. I could not recommend more highly. (By the way, I purchased with stiff graphite shafts...they feel absolutely buttery smooth). Distance control is absolutely superb!

I am interested in the G10.I have played this game for 30+ years and mainly plat with single digit buddies 15 years younger than me.Many played high school golf,a few college.I must say it is one of ,if not only, the first time I have seen an 80s shooter(or even a 70s shooter) attain the mammouth yardages you get.250 yds 3 iron,330 yrds drives. One of my playing buddies is a 4 HP and ex proffesional NFL center and you smoke him by a good margin.Man,I better get some of those G10 right away!

I got fit about a month ago and have already managed 4 rounds with the new G10s. It is embarrasing to say what i used to play with. I started into the PING world when i got the G5 driver and within a week with it was hitting 280 to 300 and have recently started hitting 310 or so, have actually quite a few times hit about 330. Anyway, driver got me thinking on getting some PING irons and this happened right when the G10s came out. The color scheme is very appealing to me as i have the matching hoofer vantage stand bag also that is the atomic orange and silver, very nice. Anyway to the irons. I really enjoy the way they feel at address, when i get ready to hit they seem so balanced it is amazing. They seem to have a good deal more club head weight than my old clubs which is really a benefit. When i swing every thing feels so smooth and the contact with the ball is so nice and soft. with the four rounds i have played, i have yet to hit a miss shot because the clubs dig so well and i have no problem getting under the ball or hitting right on the sweet spot. Custom fitting is the way to go. Really glad i made the move to get fit and buy the G10s. Wouldn't choose anything else they are a great buy and they are not to expensive. The only thing i can say others may not like is that the ball flight pattern with me anyway is incredibly high. they go crazy high and spin a lot. I like it because i can hit a 5 or 6 iron and get about 1 to 2 foot of backspin on the green, and that a 5 or 6 iron. i have added distance as well with all these clubs.
pw- up to about 120
9- 120-150
8- 145-165
7- 160-185
5&6 - 180-205 heigth varies
4- 200-225
3- 220-250
although these are my distances i have always tended to hit farther with less of a club than the people i play with.

My advcice is that if you want a great set of clubs that are a guaranteed addition to your golf game get fit with the G10s.

i was in the 85+ range before G10s, first round of nine i played with new clubs i shot a 40 where putting kills me. will be in the 70s here shortly with a little more play time.

GET FIT. GET G10!

Shoots in the 90s

After playing golf for over 20 years I have decided to change from Eye 2’s to G10’s. Ping has always made an excellent product and I am not disappointed with my G10’s. They are a wonderful set of clubs. I must say that the only noticeable difference that I have found between the G10’s and Eye 2’s is that the CPT insert on the G10´s do absorb shaft vibrations better than the Eye 2’s. Other than this, playability between both sets are equal.

I am disipointed to know that after plus 20 years of technological development, there has not been that much change in iron club making.

I recently bought my son a set of Mizuno MX19. Great club and value when compared to many other makes we tried. This set is probably G10 nearest competitor for mid handicap golfers.

My Eye2´s will never leave my side. For those that are shy about older clubs, Ping G10 is a choice by excellence.

Model Reviewed: Ping g10 iron 4-AW, AWT regular shaft

Great iron, highly recommended, very forgiving, inspire confident when set up.
I like the way they decrease off set for short iron in order not to be too bulky also help for aiming (Blade like).
AWT shaft used the same technology as Project-X flight which cost $200 more.
I went from stiff shaft to regular shaft
and I am very happy with that because I don't have a chance to play everyday anymore, it really help !!!
I took 3-4 irons out from my bag for a long time, now I put 4 iron back to my bag again (sick of hitting hybrid on par three and miss the green, NO MORE).

Took me a while to choose between G10 & i10 glad I did the right thing.

Give them a try and GET FIT for yourself before you buy any new club. The days of try and error are long gone.

FYI: I hit my new G10 7-iron about 150-160 yards (depend on condition) but GREAT thing is, the ball want to go straight no matter what, MISS HIT might lost 1/2 a club which is HUGE advantage.

AGAIN, give them a try and enjoy your golf game.

See you next time when I get new toys :).

Model Reviewed: Ping G10 irons

I have tried every model that Ping has released, and generally love their irons. Some are better than others though. This one is the very best to date. They are an improvement over the G5 and even the Rapture, in that the G10's have the Rapture technology (the toe weight insertion primarily), without the unpredictable characterists of a "hot" titanium face. The Raptures also do not have the benefits I will discuss shortly (regarding offset and shaft weight).

If you research Ping's history and way of doing business, you will realize that their engineering is their cornerstone. They seem to only release new product when their perpetual R&D leads to a new level of benefit for us hackers! This is even evidenced by their unique off-season timing when it comes to releasing new products. You get the sense that they are driven by technology, not retailing cycles.

It is also interesting that the entire G10 line is less pricey than the G5 line, which again I suppose has more to do with merchandizing and market factors. Indeed, what you are getting is a step up in quality, but in the case of the irons, $100 less for the set retail.

These are incredibly forgiving and easy to hit. The short irons look less offset to me, which I really appreciate, since this player improvement factor is less asthetically pleasing to the eye. I may need offset, but I also like a more traditional look, and in short irons especially. I love the darker finish and the new AWT shafts, which also have progressively weighted characteristics.

For these reasons and more, I think I play with more of a balance of forgiveness and precision in shotmaking with the G10s than all of their previous models. It is like Ping took the best factors of both extremes and put them into one club model. Before, one might have chosen to have a "mixed set". (G5's and I5's for example). Here both the longer and shorter irons present with beneficial elements that correspond to both ends of the continuum. Sort of like the G2's did with the HL option, only here the heads are the same, even if the offset and the shaft weight is not. To the eye, it is a totally consistent look.

These will be known is their very best irons Ping has brought to market since the venerable Eye 2's. Attaboy Ping.

Customer Service

Part of what makes them great. Just ask anyone! They can replace missing clubs, change lie angles (color codes) for basically free, and more.
