I picked up a 5-sw set of wizards from eBay for less than the cost of a couple of rounds of golf.
Very difficult to hit outright bad shots with these, extremely forgiving, mis-hit shots lose distance but still generally go in the right direction. Added bonus I've found I'm able to work a draw with the 7,8 irons.
Soft feeling on contact on most shots, but good feedback on where the ball hit the clubface.
I have been playing with a hand-me-down set of mixed King Cobra sIIs and Taylormade R7s and from shooting well over 100 with those, in three rounds with these clubs i'm comfortably in the 90s, and might have broken 80 but for a couple of expensive brain fades on a couple of holes. Distance-wise they are about a club shorter than the irons I was previously using, but it's worth it for the improved accuracy.
Ideal clubs for the beginner. I also have the wizard 3w and 5w which are also excellent.

Very easy clubs to hit, 3&4 iron rescue type irons make long par3's easy, driver and fairway woods are long and straight. A well made and durable club for mid to high h/caps, putter is excellent.
