Snake Eyes Viper Tour Irons

Snake Eyes Viper Tour Irons

DESCRIPTION

The new Viper Tour irons offer mid-to-low handicap players an iron that feels like forged. The enhanced feel comes from the extra mass designed into the lower middle portion of the back cavity. The responsive feel is further aided by the use of 304 stainless steel --- a slightly more elastic material than 431 stainless that yields a Rockwell Hardness rating similar to the carbon steels used in forged irons. The use of 304 stainless also allows better customization of the Viper Tour irons. Lie angles may be adjusted up to 4 degrees, while loft angles may be adjusted 2 degrees. To accommodate such adjustments, the bounce angles progress from 2 degrees on the long irons to 6 degrees on the PW.

These are an excellent choice of irons with much forgivness.I had a set built with the TT lite XL shafts which gave me a high soft landing fade. The Viper Tour irons are probably pound for pound as good as any high priced irons you will buy/build. My irons were fitted and built by Mr.Floyd Glenn a.k.a Dogleg one of Golfsmiths finest clubmakers.

Recently had a set of these custom fitted after leaving Snake Eyes for Cleveland CG irons. I had previously played Snake Eyes TC-01 & TC-02 irons and decided to be a sucker and pay big $ for OEM irons. What a dummy I was. Snake Eyes blow them away. The Viper Tour could be Snake Eyes best irons to date. Easy to align, minimal offset = very workable, not extremely long, but long enough, very foregiving with the weight positioning on the back of the iron. The cost? $220 for 4-GW, which included shipping and TT Lite XL stiff, steel shafts. Don't be a fool and pay for Tour Player's endorsement fees. Go to Golfsmith's website and check these out.

These irons are fantastic. I dont believe I will ever buy another OEM club. These irons have a solid feel and I paired them same as the gentlemen above, the tx-90 shafts, stiff. Nice high ball flight.. Work the ball well right to left or left to right. Now I need to learn to set my self up to play a draw. Highly recommend these irons.

Customer Service

Excellent. Never any problems and the recent redesign of the website, alleviated any concerns i might have had.

I shoot in the 85 to 90 range. Am 59 years old and finally getting back to playing golf after 15 years. I am so pleased with this set of irons. I had them put on True Temper TX-90 shafts with regular flex and Golf Pride mid-sized grips. They are very forgiving and very accurate. I have added 5 to 7 yards per club. I am sure that I will shave another 2 to 3 strokes off in 2006.
