Played this set with Dynamic Gold X100s. Perhaps the "purest" blade I have ever hit. The feel was amazing. Easy to control and consistent. Off center hits fly short of the target but that is expected. If I played on a more regular basis these sticks would have a permanent home in my bag.

My buddy tried these clubs at the range and wanted my input before he considered purchasing them. He knows I am the best around so he loves to hear my advice on clubs. It is a real treat for him when I let him play with me. I recently bought the AP2’s and was kinda tired of club testing. However, I told him I would play them in my Tuesday afternoon scramble league, which is a two person 9 hole scramble. Me and my partner, who isn’t nearly as good as me, haven’t lost yet this year and typically shoot 5-7 under. I was closing a multi-million dollar deal Tuesday afternoon so I was running a little late, and didn’t have time to hit the range before teeing off. I got there 5 minutes late but wasn’t worried….they would never start without me. Typically, I make a grander entrance but this time I hopped out of the Benz, ignored the “cat calls” from the wives, picked up a sixer and told the head pro to run me out to my starting hole. He fumbled in his speech and apologized for sending the groups out before I arrived. I told him don’t let it happen again and he put the six-pack on the club. When I got to my starting hole, I pulled my first shot a tad and was surprised by the feedback I got from the club. I toed it a bit but knew this was because the clubs were not fitted to my specs. I could tell immediately how I missed the shot by the sound and feel. At times, because I knew we would win the tournament, I would play my partner’s greenside misses to get a feel for the wedge (I really wanted to give my friend good input). My chips spun like my old Ping Eyes that are now considered illegal by the USGA for their “U” groves. On a side note, I think that ruling was a little fishy and the players strong armed the USGA. I can say that this set is almost good enough for me. It isn’t the name brand or as expensive as I like my irons, but if money was an issue they might make the cut for my bag. Give them a whirl and a hard look. My buddy bought up the next day.

Since I've these irons my overall iron play has significantly improved. Due to the compact head shape it is very easy to shape the ball and the flight. Being blades these irons will force you to develop your ball striking which i think is another benefit. I have no problem with the longer irons and find a good strike fairly easy to achieve, and the flight you get on all the irons is very strong. The only thing i would say about this set is that the pitching wedge is quite ugly at address, but i think this is a small price to pay for an oustanding set of irons. I would definitely recomend these irons to any decent player.

These forged blades are the best ones out. These have to be the easiest forge blades to hit. Very accurate and workable. I have the 4-PW and then purchased the 2 & 3 iron of the 701's.

I bought these clubs from a friend of mine about a year ago for $300. He was looking to unload them. Great investment. I actually lost 2-4 yds. on some clubs over the other blades that I was using but I LOVE the feel that these have. I can do whatever I want....whether it be moving the ball or taking the spin off. I wish they made a 2 iron for this set. The PW is a bit larger but overall good compact set of blades.

these clubs were delivered roughly a week ago. and i went to my local golf course and played a round of golf and here is how it went. the irons were the best irons ive ever hit in my entire life ive been told im a really decent ball striker with a nice compact easily repeatable swing and my first shot was an 8 iron from 155 to 160 yards center of green with a little spin back i dug it a lot and if you swing easy with these clubes you will get great distance and great accuracy. you can work these clubs like no other i hear the 506's are better so all i have to say is woah srixon give them a chance they are more than worth it. and i havent hit the long irons yet because right before i went to hit my 2 iron on the par 5 i drove my golf cart into the creek in front of the tee box... yeah lame i know lol that is a one hundred percent true story. and these clubs look great simple and beautiful!

ive been using this set for about 4-5 years.they have taken me from playing top amature events (my handicap was +4) to wear i am now which is playing on the europro tour and challenge tour. they're a great looking set with great feel the only drawback to these irons is the pw which looks like a shovel. other than that i'd say these are 1 of the best sets of irons ive used.

Ditto. Suddenly I'm making more birdies than ever before! I would say I'm two clubs longer at slower swing speed. You hits these clean it rockets of the face. Th e only downside, as with all blades, is that difference in distance between clean and not so clean hits, but I use blades because of its instant feeback about the swing I made. That is worth far more to me than the odd short or too long. Moved from one blade to another, and there is no comparison, although the other set is much older. Maybe just a motivational effect that may wear off later, but until then I'm enjoying these clubs.
