I have played ping zing and titlest 990 in the past. RAC MB is my third iron set. What surprised me most is how forgiving they are. I played about 10 rounds with them now. Like others, I was also kind of worried that these may be too difficult for me to handle. As it turned out, they are more forgiving than 990s. Plus damn accurate in distance and consistent. It cuts through rough like a razor. Yeah, I enjoy cleaning them up after every round. It is rewarding to see them shining in my bag. Being forged with soft carbon steel, they are easily damaged by hitting rocks. Be careful. New TP model is a little more forgiving and gives you more distance according to an epinions.com review. What spend $400 more for almost same clubs? I got them in like new condition from Ebay at $200. It's steal! I hit green 10 out of 18 yesterday although I made only two fairway hits. I was happy.

I have used these clubs for only 3 range sessions but I am in love. they have a classic look, but the RAC technology really delivers. The rifle shafts create the perfect launch for each club. the short irons fly so high! I love it. they are deadly accurate. the funny thing is they are extremely forgiving AND workable. subtle draws and fades are a piece of cake. Truly a blade lovers paradise. try these, you wont be dissappointed!

Model Reviewed: TaylorMade MB TP 06'

I've played these irons for the past six months and I have to admit, these are the best irons I've ever hit since I started playing golf over ten years ago. In the past I bought into the game improvement segment, initially with Callaway clubs X-14's, x-16's and x-18's Taylormade LT's which where great. But since playing with Taylormade MB's you really can't appreciate a true iron shot until you've played with a players club. I mean these irons give you immediate feedback and you know when you've struck the ball well, butter feeling. They are slight costly, but check'em out on ebay for a affordable price. Try to get the 06' version, there the lastest and improved MB iron for Taylormade. Many of the PGA pro's who play Taylormade irons prefer this brand check'em out on their website. You can't lose with these irons, recommended for players who shoot low 80's or below. Hope this helps.

Beautiful set of clubs. I've never been one to like the oversized heads, though they may be more forgiving. These clubs are standard lofts (weak), and are truly by design with the shot maker in mind (think of Corey Pavin). These are not distance clubs. But if you have a good and trusty swing, can work the ball, and like the look and feel of the classic forged blade design, these new look blades are the ones for you. They have the look of the Mizuno T-Zoid Pro, but the weight is slightly heavier at D3.

I also have the 56 degree sand wedge and the Y groove design spins the ball very efficiently. Works very well out of tight lies too.

These are without a doubt the best irons I have ever played. It is blades meet new technology. These irons are very easy to work the ball with. Left, right, low, high you name it and these irons are capable of producing the shot. The trajectory of these are great on a perfect shot. They produce a lower piercing flight that better players prefer. I would not recommend these irons to anyone that is not a consistant ball striker because these irons are not very forgiving. The last aspect of these irons that I love is the shape of the irons at address. Just a classic blade shape that provides confidence to the person hitting them.

I bought these clubs last summer. They have Rifle 6.0 Flighted Shafts. I really love the feel you get when you hit a ball on the sweet spot. They set up beautifuly behind the ball, a very "clean" looking clubhead with little offset.

I would only recomend these clubs to someone who can hit the ball flush 70 percent of the time or more. Stray a little from the center and you will lose considerable distance!!!

I have a set of the old RAC LT's (a cavity back set). I regularly switch back and forth between the MB's and LT's, just depending on how I'm swinging. If I am swinging well, I will play with the MB's because of the improved feel and workability. If I am swinging badly, I use the more (much more) forgiving LT's.

All in all a great player's iron!

I always liked the look of these clubs and feel after hitting them at a demo day several years ago. Bought the heads on ebay and had them shafted with Rifle Project X 6.0 shafts. I have a high ball flight and the combination shaft and head keep the ball down very well. RAC MB's are relatively easy to hit and can produce draws and fades quite well, though straight works for me.

As compared to the Mizuno MP37 I have they seem a bit more foregiving and about as long. Though I am a ten handicap, I never bought the idea that players at my level couldn't benefit from forged muscleback or small cavity back clubs. On the contrary, players clubs are key to improving you consistency in hitting the sweet spot and the RAC MB's fit the bill well. My early years with game improvement irons only left me guessing whether the shot was hit well or the club did the job by "foregiving" the mis-hits. No question a cast club with a big cavity will get you many more yards, but iron are precision instruments; who cares if you can hit your 7 iron 185 if it isn't near the flagstick.

I would recommend these clubs to anyone and I think the aesthetics of these are much crisper than TM's new forged offerings. These are beautiful and effective. By the way, you must protect the finish as like most soft forgings, they ding easily.

Took to the range fist thing and the results were very poor. This carried over into my first round which was an 88. The second round was a different story, I got the hang of these babies and was hitting green after green to shoot an easy 73(it would have been alot better if I could make those 2,3,4 footers). All in all a solid club with a great penetrating ball flight and controlability(I think this is a word). Protect your blades they mark up very easy!

After reading these reviews and finding an excellent deal on these clubs, I decided to take the plunge and buy a set... well, well, well...I couldn't be happier with the clubs.. I thought I'd really struggle with these but the first time I got onto the course I shot my best score yet.. They are very forgiving for a blade/muscle back but also let you know when you've hit a bad shot. I always hear people talking about the "butter" fealing when hitting a forged iron and had not experienced it until now.. unbelievably soft when you hit the ball in the middle of the iron. Definetely worth a look if you're in the market for new clubs!!

Great clubs. Very forgiving for a blade, but doesn't cover up any mistakes (why would you want to). Easly 1-2 clubs longer then my Titleist 690.mb and Miz mp33. Takes the best qualities from titleist and Miz and you get the rac mb. Traj. is not to high, forgiving for a blade, buttery feeling and long. I dont know why TM disc. them, but if you can find a set I highly rec. I REALLY think my endless search for the perfect club is over.
