Tried these irons out and was pleasantly suprised that the rest of the reviewers were right, and they do hit really accurately and well. They are quite light, and I do feel hit marginally further than my old set of really cheap mixed donnay and dunlop irons which were crap. These are good for higher handicap players, but would not necessarilly reccommend them to better players. My only real gripe with the irons is the sand wedge, the design of the clubs top edge is a bit too thick to fully get under the ball and give you a perfect contact every time. I found myself reverting back to my old bladed sandwedge which gave me more feel and consistency, before i bought the taylor made rac wedge. The pitching wedge however is awsome and I have no problem hitting greens from a distance with that. The lower irons are very easy to hit and I was suprised that I seem to hit some fairly decent shots even with the 3 iron, which I was never able to do before. I bought these from American golf and payed £200 pound for, but is seeming like money quite well spent as I have dropped my handicap from 26 to 20 in around a month.

First of all, I've only played a few rounds with these irons, so consider this a preliminary review.

I really like how the clubs feel. The stock steel (Reg flex) shaft is pretty light, and it really seems to help the clubs swing very nicely. They also feel quite nice on most shots. At first, I thought the grips looked a little cheap, but, after playing with them, now I think they're comfortable, and I haven't had any issues with them.

So far, I haven't experienced the extra yardage that some other reviewers have experienced. I tend to use a 7-iron for 150 yard shots. However, I think I've figured out what was wrong with my swing, so I feel like now I'm hitting more consistent shots with better power/distance. I had also slowed down my swing speed a bit, so now I need to work my swing speed back up, and I think I'll be able to dial in the distances with these irons and really improve my scores.

My last set of irons were Top Flite Tour irons, which were pretty nice as well. I sold them to a friend's son who is just picking up the game. Before that I owned a set of Pinemeadow irons designed very much like Callaway X-14 Steelhead irons. I gave those to my brother who had no clubs of his own.

The long to mid irons are very far and extremely easy to hit. But the wedge and short irons are very short and hard to hit the sweet spot. they are a big improvement from my old top flite irons and i do recomend them.

hey you guys, i just got a chance to check out and hit a few balls w/ these so called forgiving irons. i must agree, they feel great and light. while i was testing this set out, i was also comparing it to the NEW nike ignite irons(which i ended up buying) RAC was lighter and therefore makes me my swing alot faster...it went further than the ignite but a bit of a slice, the golf town employee told me thats not a bad slice. so then i tested the ignite, although it was heavier and didn't go as far, it was way more forgiving. most of the shots went straight!. the reason why i compare these two is because they are about the same price. i went w/ the ignite because 1. the hybrid. 2. new model(better technology, both have cavity back). 3. looks better. lol...if you looking for a forgiving set go for ignite..if your looking for distance, and or you have a slower swing...go for the RAC, either way, you will not be disappointed

I bought these after playing with smaller blades for about four years as I had no time to practice and I felt my game was struggling. They made an immediate difference to my score. I became a consistant low 80's, high 70's shooter and I enjoy the game so much more now. I would recommend the RAC OS2 to any mid handicapped golfer.

I played with a set of "department store" irons for about 5 years. The clubs I had were slightly perimeter-weighted, steel shaft. I had no problem hitting an 8 iron 150 yards, but the 3 iron was impossible. I always had a glint of doubt that my equipment was contributing to my ~100 stroke rounds. So I bought the RAC OS2 graphite shaft because I heard nothing but great reviews and the price was right.
The benefits: The response I get from a mis-hit with these clubs is something I had never felt before. I know when I mis-hit the ball, and I know when I hit it clean. The ball flies straighter than before. Don't get me wrong, I shank some still with these clubs, however I do hit more fairways. I can hit every single club in the bag, including the 3 iron.
The indifferences: I don't hit these clubs any further or higher than I hit before. Maybe its the fact that I am now playing with graphite shafts when I played for so long with steel. Not sure. My score hasn't dropped either. I feel like I hit the ball better, but I still end up with the high 90's on average.
I would defintely purchase these clubs again if I had to do it all over again. I think they are worth the $250 I paid, and only time will tell how much better I will be with these clubs in my bag.
