I am a late bloomer having just taken up the sport in June and being 33 years old. My wife bought my first set of clubs for me on Father's Day(RAM FX2). I played with them for about 2 months and the very oversized head was nice but I was shootin 100's. I bought a used set of irons from a neighbor my LYNX black cat. They seem to be a bit easier to use and I relly liked them. Then a golf store near my place of work was going out of business so I went in to get a few boxes of balls when I saw the Taylormades. The price tag was 499. I went home and researched the clubs and found that they were a great deal. While I was in the store i started talking to a couple of 20 year old guys and they were looking for new irons and I sold my Lynxs too one of them for 75.00, and the Rams for 80.00. I used this money to get my new Taylormades. I took them to the driving range as soon as I could. I felt a little more confident pulling these out of my bag and they looked very nice too. The fist swing was a push slice that almost killed the guy in the last tee. Then after an apology I regrouped and took a second swing. WOW is all I could say. I took a few more swings with the same result. I got them on the course that weekend and got my first PAR. The final score was a 92. That doesn't sound great but just 4 months earlier I shot a 136 on my first time out. After about 8 rounds and a lot of tips from friends I actually hit an 82. Now at the end of the season here in N.C. Illinois I have hit 5 straight rounds in the 79 to 88 range. I don't think these clubs are only for "good" golfers but I think if I had it to do all over again I'd start with the best and get used to playing with the best.

I could not get the full warrenty because I tried to register after the store had already closed, but they gave me a 1 year warrenty.

Wow...absolutely great!!! I just played my first round with them today and hit more greens than I have with my old irons (Cleveland TA3 form forged) in about 4 or 5 rounds. They are relatively forgiving for the make-up they have. Wouldn't recommend them for slower swing speeds. Great set of clubs!!!!! I LOVE THEM!!!

Model Reviewed: Taylor Made RAC Tour Preferred Combo Iron

This iron is fantastic. I feel it's easy to control and give more spin in every shoot. I use Japanese spec iron and it come with NS Pro 950 shaft. The ball flight is straighter then my last iron. I like the short iron most because it can give me the feel of a firm contact. More rolls on the green when I play from the edge of green with PW.

My honest opinion? These are the best irons on the market. I hit everything, from the Mizuno mx-23's to the Titleist 740's, and did not get anywhere near the same feel. The clubs have a lovely weight, look fantastic at address, and are surprisingly forgiving. I was concerned that the CB 3 and 4 iron would be a bit tricky to hit, but these clubs are marvelously forgiving, and mis hits travel straight along my normal flight path. The feedback will help improve my game tremendously, and the feel of a perfectly struck MB is unrivalled. The set comes standard with an RAC 48 degree wedge that I have grown to love. It spins a heck of a lot somehow, but I find the weight and the feel around the greens perfect. The grips that come standard with the club are lamkin, and while the clubs come in regular flex, I would not use these clubs if I had a swing speed less than around 95-100mph (hit a driver less than around 230 yards). I honestly cannot imagine (and certainly have not found) a better set of golf clubs.

in one word--unbelievable. the look, feel, and everything else about these clubs is to kill for. I would recommend these clubs for anyone that shoots below 90. they are so pure on contact, and are very easy to make the ball go where you want it to. first time out i shoot a par round after only hitting a bucket of range balls to get an idea of how i hit them. buy these clubs.

I have played this iron since July, 2003. The short iron give consistence feedback as a normal blade. The long iron give a little bit of forgiveness. It is a club for low/mid handicap.

Simply said the best irons so far!!! Before I decide to move to TP Combo, I use Nike Pro Combo.. then I try my friends Mizuno MP 33, MX 20, Taylor Made RAC LT.. The RAC LT is a good club, but the I really like the combo idea.. so finally I sell my Nike Pro Combo and buy this one.. What I get is a GREAT club! I improve my game from mid 80's to low 80's just because I switch my iron.. With my Nike Pro Combo, I never break 80 in my live.. With this club (only 1.5 month with me) I break 80 3 times already.. I really love my iron.
