Bought a set of 690 MB's on EBAY had an issue with the seller as the shafts were an inch over standard unbenounced to me. After getting them reshafted I have to say these clubs are great and like other reviewers have said these clubs are just as easy to hit for me then the "Game improvement clubs". In fact I find them easier to control. I hit a natural draw so the "Game improvement clubs" actually tend to make me hook the ball and give a low ball flight. The 690's give me a higher flight wth more distance.

I bought these clubs brandnew for $1200 and it was the best money i have ever spent.i usually shoot underpar and i have always hit titleist but these feel the best out of all of their irons the 660, 670 i have used them all they even feel better than the 695's clearly the best clubs titleist has made( not recommended for beginners highly skilled players should only buy these clubs ive seen people sell their blades in less than a year because they couldn't hit them)

I bought a used set of 690MB's on Ebay. If you've read the other reviews here, you've likely concluded that a mid-handicapper can easily handle these clubs. That's certainly true in my case. For the last several years I've played with a set of Golfsmith Tour Cavity irons with True Temper Dynamic Gold R shafts. I decided it was time to upgrade. The 690s have the same shaft. Distance is the same as with the cavity backs, but ball flight is higher with the 690s. The high trajectory might pose a problem if you frequently play in windy conditions. The 690s seem to penalize me about the same as the cavity backs in terms of loss of distance on off-center or bad hits and definitely penalize me less in terms of wayward direction on bad hits. That's surprising. These clubs feel awesome when struck on the sweet spot or close to it. On bad hits, the shock to the hands is not bad at all, really not any worse than it was with the cavity backs. These clubs are more accurate than the cavity backs, and I can work the ball left and right with them by simply setting up for the desired ball flight. I play a Pro V1 ball and with the 5 iron - PW, the ball stops where it drops on the green or checks up a little. Another benefit of these irons is that they are, well, "blades." They have a thin edge and a thin sole that allows me to cut through high and thick rough and hit the ball out of it much better than I could with the cavity backs. Overall, I am very happy with these irons. If you're a mid handicapper wanting to switch from cavity backs to a good set of blades, you'll probably like the 690 MBs.

Not good, based on sending their tech service an email which was never answered.

These irons are amazing. solid feel and great feedback that will help you to become a better ballstriker. When I got these i was about a 3 handicap, I had broken par before but i took these new irons out and in my first round with them I shot 68(-4) my career round. Since then I have got my handicap down to a 0 and I have won two Canadian Junior Golf Asssociation(CJGA)events and have qualified for team west for the Lipton Brisk Canada cup. That just goes to show you how these irons will take your game to a new level.

Having learnt how to play golf some 20 years ago with a set of blades, i was keen to move back to blades after taking up golf again after a 6 year lay-off. I started with a set of cavity back irons and was playing pretty well when I decided to get the 690 MB's. Beautiful clubs, sits well at address and does strike the ball cleanly. Not quite as forgiving as cavity backs, naturally but make a good swing feel really good. I'm hoping to start shooting in the 70's again shortly. Now, to get the driver working...lol.

I've always been a fan of Titleist because of their mission statement towards serious golfers. These clubs put out what you put in. No magic; just great clubs. Precise distance and precise accuracy. That's Titleist.

Customer Service

Not the best. I've been treated better by Callaway.

These clubs are great! I got them for Christmas and could not play for a few days being as I live on the east coast. We had a mild winter so I got a chance to play a round in early January '06. I love the feel I get when I pure a shot. These clubs give you immediate feedback which helps you groove your swing. My previous set were Hogan Apex Plus and I certainly can feel the diffenence and I loved my Hogans!

I had a January trip to Florida and played a few rounds with these clubs. I shot 78, 81 and an 80 on courses I never played before. I knew exactly where the ball was going to fly and could make up shots that got me out of trouble. These are shot shapin', shot makin' clubs.

I have noticed the distance fall off and was easily able to overcome it. Take more club! The control!! I was able to get out of trouble and make more up and downs. Highly recommended for the fairly accomplished ball striker.

These clubs are the best there is on the market forever. there is no such thing as a better club. Even though I am a junior golfer I love forged blades. and to me there is nothing better than the titleist mb 690. if you hit them solidly you wont think these are forged blades.THEY ARE SUPER FOGIVING!! SUPER!!! I tried alot of blades. And the closest one there is to the 690mb are the nike forged blades. you know the one that tiger woods uses. but still these titleist beat them by a long shot. I rate these clubs 15 out of 15, and a double eagle.

If you are a serious golfer this is the club for you. I bought a set of 690 mb with the s300 shaft in it and I'm enjoying the game much more. I've been playing my Hogan Apex Plus to an handicap of 18. The second round I took my muscle backs to the course my card said 78 on hole 18! I shaved 8 stroke of my personal record on a very dificult course I played for the first time. Don't believe everything you read about blades beeing damn near impossible to hit unless you are a scratch golfer. These irona are the true game improving club, you can control your ball at will and if you hit the spot : b-u-t-t-e-r!!! Don't worry if you don't get the same distance as your old clubs, the mb's have traditional lofts so your mb six iron is an seven iron in a new set. The 'lack' in distance will be much compensated in the gain of ball flight control.

Shooting in the mid to upper 80's had me very concerned that I would not be able to hit these. Concerned enough that I actually bought them only as a training aid. I previously had Ping Eye 2. After 3 times on the range, I took them out and played horrible. I kept using them, however, and slowly go use to them. I played the other day, 1 miss hit all day and on tree consecutive holes knocked to within ten feet from 180 yds plus. Not only that but my handicap is down from 17 to 11. I you have time to practice buy them, and be patient if this is your first set on forged clubs.
