Titleist 755 Irons

Titleist 755 Irons

DESCRIPTION

The new 755 irons integrate contemporary design elements into the Tour-proven, Titleist 700 series platform for greater performance and improved playability.

Utilizing a thinner face design, weight is removed from the face to increase cavity volume. Discretionary weight is then redistributed to create enhanced heel-toe weighting for a higher moment of inertia, superior playability and forgiveness.

Superior feel and shock absorption are achieved by incorporating a forged aluminum dampener chip into the cavity. The dampener chip filters out unwanted vibration for a soft, solid feel and outstanding shot feedback. The strong, lightweight, T-6 6061 insert reinforces the thin face for greater strength and durability.

Forged 755 irons feature a slightly lower CG position for an easy initial launch and a medium-high flight for excellent control and maneuverability. Dual hosel lengths and a high-performance sole manage trajectory and provide predictable performance from a variety of turf conditions.

Crafted from 410 stainless steel utilizing a precise, multi-step forging and CNC milling process, the new forged 755 irons provide the soft feel, aesthetics and shot-making capabilities better players demand. Because we believe, as they do, that every club is a scoring club.

Very good set. Real players irons with a lot of forgivenss. Forged clubheads, not bulky but with a great sweetspot. Distance is very good, the tri spec shaft is also very good! These are very nic looking irons for the mid and lower handicappers. You can shape shots and off center hits are no problem. I have played with all kind of irons but these are really the best! Great value for the craftsmanship and technology of these irons. The feel chip works very well. Solid strikes feel crisp and powerful. You will get exactly what you deserve with these irons. A well struck shot will fly high and long. A miss-hit feels obvious, but not too harsh...loss of distance is minimal; unless really hit poorly. I have Project X shafts in mine and I highly recommend this setup, if you can find it. I've played these irons for almost a year now and will not give my 755s for a long long time. I previously played Mizuno T-Zoid Pro II irons and my back up irons are Callaway X-Tours...The 755 irons are the best all around irons I've tried in a long time.

I just ordered these and am not very happy with them. They are way to hard and feel to solid on off center hits and i dont like that feel. But i noticed on some off center hits the ball goes as far as off center hits. Great look though.

Great irons! looking for something to get from 12 into the single figures. these did the job. At first wasnt too sure on the look but wheni saw them at address really liked the look. Nice crisp feel to th club when hit pure and also adds alot of forgiveness when hit badly. The clubs have added an extra 20-25 yards onto my game which comes in handy and are really good wearing clubs. Only problem is that the finish when brought new fades quicly but if you take pride in what you own tis could easily be extended to 6 months. Great irons that i would recommend .

Outstanding irons with plenty of distance and forgiveness. Had the Titleist 735's but these are much more forgiving without giving up much feel. Very happy I made the change to the 755's.

Well....I picked shoots in the 70's above because of my experience yesterday...usually I hit in the mid 70's to low 80's.
Anyways, was looking to try some different irons out and ended up with the 755's. I am a decent player with a pretty well rounded game, just not the consistency to score really well because I only get out once or twice a month. My Nike Pro Combos were not making me happy (at one point I really loved them, touch with the short irons and some forgiveness with the longs) and I was itchin' for some retail therapy. No time to go and try a bunch of clubs out, so I used the magic of the internet to try and figure out what I might like. Anyways, always love Titleist quality, never owned a set of irons (have sworn by their wedges for the past 13 years), found a set of used 755's and picked them up. Really like the feel and look, I prefer a more traditional look address, and these clubs feel great when you set them down...not as thin and clean as a blade....but I got over that in a hurry.

So, the next morning I went to my local range with grass boxes, hit about 50 balls and ran to my car to drive to the Course down the road. I was hitting the ball soo well I had to see if it was a fluke. Luckily, this time, it was no fluke. First tee, 365 yard par 4, you run out of space in a hurry and the small green is guarded by a grove of tall trees. 4 iron off the tee.....220 yards down the center. I never hit a 4iron that far unless it hits a sprinkler head. About 145 to the center, can't even see the pin at address because of the trees, 9iron, right on line.....I missed the 10 footer for birdie. But I was already happy. A few misses, lots of great shots....I knew the round was going well, ended up shooting an honest 70 (Par72) from the back tees. Not that tough of a course, but only the second time in my life I have been even or under par (without taking a bunch of mullies). Consistency was great, you can work the ball quite well, probably not the touch club a tour pro might like, but the feel was great. Soft when hit well, let you know when you didn't but I also did not seem to pay the same price with mis hits. They feel bad (which is good, don't want to reinforce a bad swing), but the results did not seem as drastic as other clubs I have used in the past. Can't wait to get out tomorrow and hit them again. Don't expect to be 2 under again, but I know it is out there now!! BTW, a few have mentioned that they dont have a soft feel, and I disagree a bit. They might not be as soft as a blade when hit perfectly, but I think they felt nice and buttery when hit pure. I love em, cant wait to hit them again, worth a swing if you are a decent player looking for a club that can give you nice performance and a little more forgiveness than the old set of blades.

There are a few things I want in an iron.
A mid ball flight, moderate forgiveness, decent feel and a classic look at address.
The 755's fit the bill. Mine have stiff Nippon 8950GH shafts, which are comparable to TT's S300.
They have a player's look at address and are a bit more forgiving than the Titleist 695.CB's and Mizuno's MP-32's that I also own. This forgiveness is what puts these in my bag over the other irons out there.

The ball flight is a perfect mid-launch yet high and low shots are very easy to achieve.
The feel isn't near as good as a Mizuno forging but the forgiveness and added length make up for it.

These are a 1/2 club longer than any other model I own.

The only drawback is that these don't wear as well as other irons I have. The finish dulls rather quickly but if you clean them on a regular basis this shouldn't be too big of a deal.

All in all I think these will stay in my bag for the season (which is really good for me) and I would recommend them to any golfer in the scratch to 15 range.

Enjoy!

After playing Callaway irons for several years, I was interested in getting back to more of a performance driven set. I purchased this set with Project X shafts at the suggestion of my pro. The clubs have been a joy to play. I was always hesitant to change irons because of the length and distance that my Callaway's made so easy. I have to say the ball flight is much more business-like with no loss of distance. The club head definitely allows you to feel the release of the club and these irons give nice smooth feedback on all shots. I am now a big fan of the Project X shafts too; as I've tried this same set with TT shafts. I think these irons would give any player with a decent swing a good feel for their distances and accuracy under any conditions. If you are considering a purchase, feel confident that Titleist will produce a quality set for golfers that enjoy and understand how to hit golf shots. The mizuno MP57 were ok, but felt a little short on distance compared to the 755s.

I have been looking for a good set of irons for a while now as my hanicap has come down considerably in the past year to now a 4. I was hitting the old taylor made firesoles which i enjoyed as the feel was great and distance was awesome, however i could not work the when i needed to. My buddy has the mizuno mp 32's which i will say are an awesome club but i found that these 755's are similar in the sense of i can work the ball however i want with them albeit the smaller head and pure forged head of the mp 32's make working it even easier. The turning point for me was the money factor as i picked up a set at the golf show for $275 brand new. I played the for the first time on the course today and i felt really good as they promote confidence at adress and i could actually hit the ball with the same shape my "minds eye" saw. i have lost no distance other than to the cold 40* air temp. i also noticed i could stop the ball where i needed with just about every type of shot. i think anyone with a 10 hanicap or lower would benefit from giving these a try. i feel it was money well spent and would give them my recommendation.
