Demo'd these club with Mizuno, Taylor Made, Wilson and Ping in lefties. Came down to the Titleist 822OS and RAC LT. Went with the Titleist as I hit the low irons (3-4 iron) better. The lighweight steel shafts are great. These clubs are very straight, I used to push the ball, but no more.

My 5 iron shots seem to be losing yardage and are now at a 145 yard carry, 155 yards total. I tested the DCI 822 OS irons, graphite shafts, on Sunday and compared them to the RAC OS graphite shafts and my DCI 981 clubs with Dynamic Gold shafts. I hit 5 iron. First, both the DCI 822 and the RAC clubs were 10-15 yards longer on comparable hits of the 5 iron -- i.e. best to best. Next, the DCI 822 had a more solid feel than the RAC and appeared to be somewhat straighter and giving consistently straighter hits. I know its the golfer, not the clubs. However, I cannot wait to hit the DCI 822 OS clubs on the course.

Well - after reading all (or at least a lot of!) the reviews here, I decided to try the following clubs I've listed below. Right from the start, I felt the Titleists were one of the sweetest feeling clubs, and in the end it was between them and the Rac LT's...I actually prefer the smaller head of the Rac LT's, but the feeling and consistency of the 822's won out in the end... I had them custom fitted to me (extra 1.5" with 1 deg), with the standard lightweight shafts in regular flex...they are a Gem! I have had a series of lessons with the resident pro, and I am extremely pleased with my decision. Long straight shots are the norm, with the long irons proving very easy to play as well as the short. I have noticed at least 10 strokes come off my round (now shoot in the 80's, previously nineties), all attributable to good iron play. I recently shot a 78 at one of our International players courses, and completely blew away the usual group of 3 others that I play with...They are now thinking of changing their irons!!! The best thing is stepping up with your irons, and knowing that you're going to do a good shot...it's very rare now that I don't. I fully recommend the clubs as an excellent cavity back club, and also recommend Pro lessons with any new set of custom fit clubs...

Tried this set while on vacation in Salina, Kansas. Hit 3 iron 250 yards from the ruff to 6 feet from the pin into a group on the green. Unbeleivable feel and distance. Feel a lot like blades and the offset is subtle. Very attractive at address and easy to align. Recommended for mid-handicap players seeking better feel and control without sacrificing any distance.

I played my first round today, and i can't belive the difference in my iron game. I never WAS a golfer that could hit a 4 iron of the fairway 200 yards without the ball braking left or right, missing the target and being short. These clubs keep the ball STRAIGHT and they are LONG. What more can you ask for? If you are in the market for a set of new clubs, try them !!!!!!!!. To get a "wow you are hitting them great" out of my Golf buddy Bruce is like Bush calling Sadam a nice person. They are that good NO KIDDING.

I generally switch clubs at least once every season -- my last few sets have been Callaway, Cleveland and Taylor Made 320s -- I think these are far and away the best irons I have ever played. I've been a consistent 0-3 handicapper, usually relying on a hot putter and a good short game to makeup for my mediocre iron play. Since I have switched to these irons - late last year - I am scoring a lot lower, hitting a lot more greens and enjoying the game a lot more. I saw these clubs on closeout at TGW...grab them quickly.

Just got these and the clubs hit long and straight. I was amazed at the amount of distance gained with these clubs. 8 iron @165 yards. These clubs were custom made per my specifications. These clubs have great feel with feedback and are very forgiving. With the Nike Driver, Maxfli Noodle and these titleist irons watch out golf courses I'm going to tear it this summer. I highly recommend them.

I'm a high handicapper but having a set of these irons gives me the confidence I need to shoot better scores. I'm reviewing these clubs having now used them for several months. Since having them I've shaved at least 10 shots a round off my scores. I'm not a long hitter by any means but with these clubs I have increased my distance by a good 20 yards. I used to slice the ball horribly on every shot but now I mostly shoot it straight or even with a slight draw. Sure, the odd bad one still creeps in now and again, but I think this is more to do with me than the clubs! I struggle with my woods but the increased distance and accuracy of the DCI 822OS's enables me to take an iron off the tee more often and presents the opportunity for walking away with a par. At my level this is exactly what was required. I'd recommend these irons to anyone wanting to increase distance and accuracy.
