Have won, built, tried and purchased various sets of irons over the past 30 years but inevitably have always got rid of them and wet back to my scarred and rusty Titleist Pro-100's...until now. I again wanted to try a cavity-back and have had tremendous success with Top-Flie balls over the years so I couldn't turn down trying the irons for $249. Would have loved to had a new set of Titleist blades but refuse to pay $800. Nonetheless, I have not been disappointed with the Top-Flites in that I have attained Cobra distance with Titleist shotmaking. Offset and topline are nominal enough to still pass for a player's style club but cavity weighting has definitely improved distance and consistency. No reason to spend more unless you feel you have to have the cache!

Customer Service

Great as far as them sending me a hole-in-one certificate and bag tag on a timely basis.

I'm a high handicapper (6 months/ 15 rounds) and purchased these clubs after I decided that the whole golf thing was going to stick. Purchased a fitted pair (I'm 6'4) from tgw.com for 300. Good looking set of clubs and are very reliable. having used some other irons recently, I can't call them anything other than average (I used a set of ping I2's and currently use a set of tour edge progressives). I spotted these for new at 3balls.com for $150 new and would say for that price, they are a heck of a deal for the high handicapper (only people I feel I can speak to) and a great set of starter clubs.

WOW! These clubs are easy to the touch! For my game the long irons are a nightmire, the feel of hitting these long irons was the easiest and smoothest you could imagine! The ball went straight and long! Mid irons had high trajectory that would set quickly on the green! Short iron had the same softess with absolutely hardly any feel, so landing the ball was effortless on the green! One of my better golf buys, take a drive with these babies!

i bought these iron when they first came out for 250 dollars or so. im 13 and i can hit my 3 iron about 220 yards. my neighbor has callaway x-16s and i hit my Topflites better than the x-16's.i like these irons the bestout all of the irons made.im am very glad my mom bought these for me for christmas. they also same to be easy to hit out of the fairways and get the ball up high easily.the only thing i didnt like was they didnt have a lob wedge or sand wedge. but i found a sand wedge on ebay and i bought a callaway forged wedge.

Purchsed a set with graphite shafts for $200. Very pleased, big jump in distance. Never before dreamed of hitting a 200 yard 4 iron but have done it several times with these irons. The short irons take some getting used to, overshot alot of greens at first. Ball flight for all the irons is very high and LONG. I can't say it enough, these irons are hot! If you are looking for more distance and an incredible value, look no further than these irons. They look great as well.

This a golf-newbie opinion...actually a left handed playing right newbie... I am using these clubs for couple of months now and already made me really love golf! This is because when I miss hit I know where the fault in my swing was and quickly fix it, which most of the times is my overpushing with my left hand...man!! the other reason is that they're STRAIGHT and FAAAAR!!! not to mention the price!! Gradually I am getting the hang of it and seeing my scores lowering over time. It's a pity that the company closed, as they lost a future loyal customer. I highly recomend them to any newcomer to golf who need consistency in their swing and at the same time to be awarded with long and straight shots to keep them motivated when they do all things right. Love them and probably keep them till I score in the 80's (if I ever...)

These are the best irons I've ever hit. They have a huge sweetspot and they just feel sweet to hit. These irons should be up there with the 7 and 8 hundred dollar ones but I'm glad they aren't, because then I wouldn't have them.

I've been playing these irons for about 6 months. I have consistently lowered my scores with these clubs. They always receive praise from "older" golfers that see what I am playing. I've been told by many guys hitting Ping, Cleveland, etc. that these are the best for the money. My iron play is the best aspect of my game next to my driving and I attributte much of it to these forgiving irons. They feel great and hit long. I am able to work a nice draw at will. The reason I shoot in the high 90s and low 100s is due to my short game. My putting and chipping are dreadful, but I'm working on it! Thankfully these irons allow me to save a little face when I hit a nice draw with my 4 iron from 200 yards in light rough and leave it 5 feet from the pin. After swinging several different irons, I prefee the weight and feel of these. For $167, I doubt there is a better set of sticks out there.

Model Reviewed: Top Flite Tour 2003 Reg Steel Shaft

Bought these babies new on Ebay as a Christmas present to myself. Best damn Christmas gift I've had in a while. Too bad I spent tons of money during 2003 looking and trying numerous sets of mid to high price clubs. These clubs look great(I have had a couple of golfers ask me what they are). They set-up nice at ball address. I had the lie adjusted 1 deg. flat and replaced the grips with W5 Winn grips(just because I tend to hook the ball slightly with standard set clubs). You've heard it before, now hear it again; these irons hit straight(must be the diamond sole technology). I must admit I was taken aback by the wide sole but the divots taken are sweet,if one can descibe a divot this way. These clubs hit long (must be the Titan Steel). The good shots with these irons give the ball a mid to high trajectory flight in that order. Slight miss hits still end up just off the target aimed at with little lose of distance. Golf story time: I was in the fairway for my second shot on a small par 4 with approx.145 yards(slightly up hill)to the green with a big sand trap in front of it(only the flagstick visible). I pulled an 8-iron and aimed at the flagstick. I didn't feel the shot(most of you golfers know what I mean). The clubhead cut through the fairway(like a hot knife through butter)leaving a perfect divot. I looked up after the follow-thru just in time to see the ball tracking to the flagstick. After the other guys hit their shots, I walked up to the green and saw that my ball was only about 5 feet from the hole; I made the birdie putt. I have been playing golf for almost 3 years searching for the ideal set of irons and wishing I could play golf more than a few times a month (even when the weather is nice). Golf goals set for 2004: 1.improve chipping and putting to lower scores to the 70's. 2.weight train, to increase distance. 3. find the ideal set of irons. Oh, I've already achieved goal number 3. I will keep these clubs until the clubface grooves wear out. By the way, you can work the ball just a little(fade or draw) despite the wide-sole. I have heard the manufacture of these clubs are going or gone out of business. If this is true it is too bad but they made one hell of a set of golf clubs as a swan song (if what I hear is true). I don't know about average scratch-golfers(never played with any)but for the rest of you occasional golfers out there, if you can find a set of these clubs at a reasonable price,BUY THEM!!!
