Excellent clubs. Got a half set (4,6,8,PW) when I first started out and have found no reason to change, although I have bought new additions such as 2 Iron, SW etc from other companies. Great forgiveness. Bought mine second hand and were advised to me by the club pro. Top clubs, excellent for the beginner/intermediate player.

I have been playing these clubs for 4 or 5 years now. I bought them for $100 from a coworker. They do an OK job for how cheap they are...It's time for me to step up to calloway's now, you can definately tell the difference between these clubs and the expensive ones. However, with these clubs I am still outhitting most of my buddies who all use calloway. I like the shorter irons the best (6,7,8,9,p,sw), they all hit long, high and straight, however they do not generate much spin. All in all htese clubs have served me well.

Good clubs for the beginner. I have been playing since October and have improved from shooting 130's to 100 and a few 90's. These clubs have great feeling, and help put the ball where you want it. I will play with them until I break 90 consistently. Like I said, perfect for the beginner who needs to work out his/her swing and learn the game.

Outstanding clubs!

These clubs offer great forgiveness in mis-hits and feel sweet when struck correctly. With these clubs, I have taken over 10 strokes off my game. Generous clubface area allows for mistakes in your swing without compromising shot quality. Nice tour wrap grips give the clubs a solid feel in your hands.

Shorter irons are nicely weighted and make long, high trajectory shots easy. Longer irons are also easy to hit, even off less-than-perfect lies.

Picked up my set for £250 (not a lot in the UK)2 months ago and have knocked 4 shots off my game. Nice solid feel which gives me bags of confidence. I can get the ball up each time and keep the ball straighter with these than my last set of Hippo Clubs. Excellent for the beginner and they look good too. I dislike the grips as they are too skinny even though I only have medium sized hands.

Great intermediate set for the price. Many advantages over beginner sets, for just a little more money. Adds much confidence to your game.

Sorry to say but these clubs, while reincarnating an old moniker, are not worth the street price of 170. The steel shafts are from bangladesh (true temper nothing) and are incredibly stiff, when combined with their inordinate weight this makes for a poor performing iron. The woods are no better, posessing shafts that are far too soft. The geometry makes for an almost numb strike, very little feedback is relayed. For the money buy dunlops or even better, some of the entry level sets from your local pro shop will serve better (i.e. Preludes from Excalibur)

After using steel shafted clubs for years I broke down and acquired these 1200 Grapite Shafted clubs in late ""98. What a difference. With a deliberate swing not forcing from the take back and coming through with a smooth follow through I was overjoyed to watch my ball going straight and long. No forcing required .The same is true with the irons. This should prolong my excavation of many a golf terrain. Excelent for the late middle age part time golfer.

These clubs were a gift to me and have become my favorite irons to play with. They feel very comfortable when I strike the ball and hit it right on line with my target.

Picked up a these at a garage sale several years ago. They have served me well. For as short as our season is here in Alaska, I don't feel I can justify a set of Calloways and this set of 1200s works fine. They are a cavity back design and certainly help me keep the ball on line. The GE stood for Gear Effect, but apparently, General Electric sued Wilson for trademark name infringement or something. So, even if these weren't good clubs, I would hang on to them for this reason alone.
