bought these as my first serious set of clubs when i was 12. i couldnt recommend them any higher for an absolute beginner. the most impressive thing about these clubs is how they perform from the rough. they are unbelievably stable and they really do promote confidence no matter what the lie. the clubhead really doesnt twist at all. the are also very forgiving especially for the 90% of you out there who slice the ball as there is quite a progressive offset. perhaps my favourite part of the club was its weight. they are slightly heavier than your normal 'skinny shafts' and although many may see this as a negative i disagree. the extra weight(and its only fractional) really will promote more of a smooth swing as opposed to a hit at the ball. there are some drawbacks however, 'buttery' would not be a word i would use to explain the feel of these clubs, which is understandable because they are not aimed at the 2 handicapper who likes that soft feeling, they are a game improvement club and they perform their duty admirably. the most negative element of these clubs i feel is the shaft length. when i bought these clubs i was about a hair over 5 foot and the standard shafts are 1/2 inch longer than most brands. i really feel that these clubs are ideal for young beginners but they are just a little to long. i would also say that the transition from fatshaft to standard shaft is a little strange(it really does look different at address) but is easily overcome, and make no mistake about it you will not hit these for life if you are a keen golfer they are definitely a transitional club and you will grow out of them but for a game improvement club or a begginner set i really do not think that anything else compares
