As i have a low handicap and i am better than the average golfer i chose YONEX. I find that the filght in which the club comes round incredibly delicious and would love to see taylormade try and meet that with there rac irons. Indeed the average person who reads this is not as good as me and so won't be able to use the clubs to therefull potential as i do, please enjoy yours but honestly you will never be better than me!!!

Model Reviewed: Yonex V-Mass 270 Steel Shaft irons

Exchanged my old clubs against these late 2003. However I tried the V-Mass 260 in store which were out of stock and only realised that I had been give the V-Mass 270 after playing my first round. These clubs are beautifully weighted and feel so nice to swing. Have lost some distance but am now hitting straight. When looking for my new clubs I had entered the shop with Mizuno in mind but tried the Yonex at the suggestion from the sales assistant. They instantly felt much better in my hands. Since buying these clubs I havn't really played a lot of golf due to new baby, but this year I will and I am really looking forward to playing with these clubs.

Model Reviewed: Yonex V-mass 270 irons

These irons are great. First of all, the graphite shafts are very light. That's what I want because of my weak hands and arms. I've played the Titleist DCI 981 for two years before I got these Yonex irons. I enjoyed the 981s. They were very accurate, though the R-flex Tri-spec steel shafts were a little stiff for me. The Yonex R-flex Ultimum Ti50 shaft feels much better. I also found that the V-mass 270 irons are one club longer than the 981s. This might be the result of a lighter shaft. The V-mass 270s are very forgiving as well. Mis-hits from the toe-end can still travel a good distance without moving too much away from the intended target line. The trajectory produced by the V-mass 270s are apparently higher than the 981s and makes the ball land softer. This is a good news for me as I don't have the ability to create sufficient amount of back spin to stop the ballon the green. The only downside of these irons is the price. I know Yonex is a high-end brand and boasts cutting-edge technology. But I just wish they could be a little cheaper.
