I’m am 42 and I been playing for about 5 years. Three years ago I purchased these clubs with Low Torque Graphite shafts. These clubs were a big step from the North Westerns I picked up a K-Mart for $80.00. I went from shooting 120 to 105. Yes a 15 stroke drop. A year later my car was stolen and the clubs were gone. I dusted of the North Westerns and I was hitting about 110. I purchased a set of Golden Bear Clubs from Costco and I was right back up to 120.

I missed the clubs so much I ordered a set of club heads and went to a local club builder to be fitted. I was going to have a custom set. I decided to have steel shafts in this set. I picked up where I left off shooting around 100.

When I did everything right the ball flight was great. The feel was great. Distance was great. I hit a 6 iron about 155 yards. But about every 4th or 5th hit was not so great. I hit the ball fat. I do not have a high club head speed so I lost all the distance. This led me to club-up and then you guessed it. Over the green I went.

I truly believe these are a great club for people that can shoot below 85. I’m not there yet. And at this stage of my life I not sure I will be. If your looking for a club that creates a high ball flight for soft landing. These are clubs you can create bow shaped flight paths that Tiger create with his Irons, Fade left or fade right. You can create those shots with these clubs. I have done it. I did it when I was trying to hit the ball too hard. But I could create those shots.

The Interesting thing I recover my car six months after it was stolen and guess what was still in the trunk, my clubs. So I have a Graphite set and a Steel set. I found that I play better in the spring and fall with the Graphite set and I like the steel set when the temp is in the 70’s I’m not real sure why but someone will know.

I know this is not the review from a seasoned Golf Pro. But I am not finding a lot of reviews that really help me. The Bottom Line is. I do not believe I am a good enough golfer to truly appreciate what these clubs can do. What I can say is the clubs are nice when hit right. I wish my Game was at a level I could really utilize these clubs. Maybe someday I will.

I hope this review combined with others helps you decide if these clubs might be for you.

Honestly I can't say I've enjoyed these clubs. Shaft is True Temper Dynamic Gold Lite R300.
I find these clubs awfully unforgiving and whilst you can tailor/shape your shots they just don't often feel great. I suspect the sweet spot is pretty small as anywhere other than perfect doesn't result in a good feel or good result. I've also found them quite heavy. Length of shot is consistent and they produce a highish flight; resulting in soft landings which is good when going the green. I wouldn't recommend these for the higher handicapper.

I hit the Ping S59 irons and I like them alot but were too much for my wallet. I had the R-61 irons custom made .5 inch long with 2 degree up right. The clubs cost 1/4 the amount of the S59's. I bought 3-LW for 11 clubs in all. The clubs hit very crisp and long with a beautiful ball flight. These irons all excellent for ball control. Miss hits are quite forgiving except when it's cold outside you tend to get a vibration. I've been playing for about 30 rounds and I am pretty happy with my purchase. This will be my set of irons for the next 4 or 5 years.
